What is Skillry and what does it offer?

Updated

Skillry is a curated library of Agent Skills for AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. Instead of writing prompts from scratch each time, you install a reusable SKILL.md workflow that runs end to end and produces a finished artifact — a slide deck, a web page, an image, or a video. It is aimed at people who want their agent's output to look deliberate and designed rather than generic, which is what the site means by giving your agent "taste."

What an Agent Skill actually is

A Skill is a packaged workflow file (SKILL.md) that an agent can load and follow. You pick a skill from the library, install it into your agent, and then run it. The skill carries the instructions, structure, and styling decisions for a specific kind of output, so the agent doesn't have to improvise them.

The practical difference from a plain prompt: a prompt is a one-off instruction you rewrite every time, while a skill is a repeatable recipe you install once and reuse. Skillry's own framing is "Install one, run it end to end, keep what it makes."

What you can create

The library is organized by output category. Based on the site's listings:

Category Example skills
Web Collage Creative Portfolio, Obsidian Cinema Landing, Cadence Marketing Landing, Activity Calendar Chart
Slides Starlit Deck, Editable Visual Deck, Brand Story Deck, Academic Argument Deck
Image Procreate Style OG Image, GrokBot Avatar, Hand-Drawn Visual Notes
Video Velocity-Matched UI Sting, Liquid-Rupture Logo Reveal, Agent-Chorus Capability Reel

Each skill card shows an install count and a "+ 6" marker indicating additional supported agents. Skills are also grouped into Featured, Free, Trending, and Top-rated views, so you can browse by popularity or by what costs nothing.

Free vs. paid

Skillry has a Pricing page, and the library clearly separates a Free Agent Skills section from the rest. Free skills are described as: install one, run it end to end, keep what it makes — "No card, no trial timer." Examples include GrokBot Avatar (Image), Velocity-Matched UI Sting (Video), Editable Visual Deck (Slides), and Activity Calendar Chart (Web).

The site does not publish specific prices or plan details in the material available here, so treat anything beyond "some skills are free" as unconfirmed. If cost matters to you, check the Pricing page directly before committing.

How to get started

  1. Browse by category — decide whether you need a web page, slide deck, image, or video, and open that section.
  2. Pick a skill — start with a Free or Trending entry to test the workflow without committing.
  3. Install it into your agent — Skillry supports Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and additional agents (shown as "+ 6" on skill cards).
  4. Run it end to end — the skill drives the agent through the full task rather than producing a partial draft.
  5. Keep the output — the result is yours to use.

The "Connect your agent" prompt on the site is the entry point for linking a supported agent before installing skills.

Who it's for

Skillry fits you if you already use Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor and want consistent, styled output without hand-tuning prompts for every task. It's less useful if you only need a single one-off generation, since the value comes from reusing installed skills across projects.

The core idea to take away: Skillry doesn't generate content itself — it supplies the reusable workflows that make your existing agent produce more controlled, more professional results.
