How the AQ3D Wiki Is Organized, and Where to Find Specific Topics
Updated
The AQ3D Wiki (aq-3d.wikidot.com) is the official community-maintained encyclopedia for AdventureQuest 3D, and its content is split into four top-level areas: Home, World, Items, and Other Info. If you know whether your question is about a place, a thing, or a system, you can usually jump straight to the right section instead of searching. The sections below map each area to the topics it holds and explain the two lookup tools — tag search and the site menu — that cover everything else.
The four main sections at a glance
| Section | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Home | Announcements, New Releases, Chronicle of Releases, and site-wide search |
| World | Cutscenes, Dungeons, Events, Locations, Regions, Monsters, NPCs, Quests, Daily Quests, Rankings, Shops, Craft Shops, Trade Skills |
| Items | Armors, Weapons, Classes, House Items, Mounts, Pets, and the rest of the equipment and collectible categories |
| Other Info | AQ3D FAQ, Commands, Exp Charts, Global Loot Table, Glossary, Guilds, Housing System, Item Augments, Item Infusion, Mail System, Main Menu, PTR, Scaling System, Timeline, and more |
Finding world content: locations, quests, and NPCs
The World section is where you go for anything tied to a place or an activity in-game. It is broken into:
- Cutscenes — scripted story sequences
- Dungeons — instanced combat content
- Events — seasonal and limited-time content
- Locations and Regions — the geography of the game world
- Monsters and NPCs — enemies and characters
- Quests and Daily Quests — story and repeatable objectives
- Rankings, Shops, Craft Shops, and Trade Skills — progression, vendors, and crafting
If you are trying to work out where a quest starts, which region a monster lives in, or what a shop sells, start here rather than in Items.
Finding item content: gear, classes, and collectibles
The Items section holds everything you can own or equip. The categories listed on the wiki include:
- Armors — including Back, Belts, Boots, Capes, Gloves, Helms, and Shoulders
- Weapons — including Bows, Guns, and Fishing Rods
- Classes
- Accessories, Item Sets, and Misc. Items
- House Items and House Plans
- Mounts, Pets, and Travel Forms
- Bobbers, Resources, Tokens, Moments, and Use Menu Items
This is the section to check when you want to know what a piece of gear is called, what slot it fills, or which category a collectible belongs to.
Finding system and reference content: Other Info
Other Info collects the pages that explain how the game works rather than what exists in it. It includes the AQ3D FAQ, Commands, Exp Charts, the Global Loot Table, Glossary, Guilds, Housing System, Item Augments, Item Infusion, Key, Mail System, Main Menu, PTR, Scaling System, Timeline, and SiteFAQ. Use this section for mechanics questions — how scaling works, what a command does, or how a system is structured — rather than for looking up a specific item or location.
Two ways to search when you don't know the section
If you can't tell which section a topic belongs to, the wiki offers two entry points:
- Search by Tags — the homepage links to a tag-based search and a "List of all tags," so you can browse pages grouped by tag instead of by section.
- The site menu — the navigation menu exposes the same World, Items, and Other Info trees, plus New Releases and the Chronicle of Releases for version history.
Both are useful when a topic spans categories, such as an event that introduces new items and a new region at the same time.
Contributing and staying current
The wiki is community-maintained: the homepage states that you can join the site to edit pages, or report corrections via Twitter or Discord. The homepage also carries dated Announcements — for example, notices about the wiki's anniversary live events — and a "last updated" line, so you can gauge how current a page is before relying on it.
