Which Exam Boards and Subjects Are Covered by Save My Exams?
Updated
Save My Exams covers the main UK exam boards — AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, CCEA and WJEC Eduqas — across core subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths and English Literature. Coverage is not identical everywhere: the exam board, subject and qualification you are studying determine which resource types (Revision Notes, Exam Questions, Flashcards, Smart Lesson, Target Test, Mock Exams, Past Papers) are actually available to you.
Exam boards covered
Based on the subject listings on the site, the following boards appear:
| Exam board | Subjects seen in listings |
|---|---|
| AQA | Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths (Foundation/Higher), Further Maths, English Literature |
| Edexcel | Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths (Foundation/Higher), English Literature |
| OCR | Biology A (Gateway), Chemistry A (Gateway), Physics A (Gateway), Maths (Foundation/Higher) |
| WJEC | Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Maths Numeracy |
| WJEC Eduqas | Maths (Foundation/Higher) |
| CCEA | Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Further Maths |
This is the set of boards visible in the subject navigation. If your board is not listed, the site does not currently show resources for it in these subjects.
Subjects and how they are organised
Subjects are grouped first by exam board, then by qualification and tier where relevant:
- Sciences — Biology, Chemistry and Physics are listed separately for each board, and for OCR the specific specification is named (OCR Biology A (Gateway), OCR Chemistry A (Gateway), OCR Physics A (Gateway)).
- Maths — split into Foundation and Higher tiers for AQA, Edexcel and OCR, with Further Maths listed separately for AQA and CCEA.
- English Literature — listed for AQA and Edexcel.
The site describes its worksheets as covering "all topics from GCSE, IGCSE and A Level courses," so the same subject name can map to different qualification levels depending on the board.
Resource types vary by board and subject
Not every subject page offers the same tools. Comparing the listings:
- AQA Biology shows Exam Questions, Revision Notes, Flashcards, Smart Lesson, Target Test, Mock Exams and Past Papers.
- OCR Biology A (Gateway) shows Exam Questions, Revision Notes, Target Test, Mock Exams and Past Papers — no Flashcards or Smart Lesson.
- WJEC Biology shows Exam Questions, Revision Notes, Target Test and Past Papers.
- CCEA Biology shows Past Papers only.
- WJEC Physics shows Revision Notes and Past Papers.
- OCR Maths shows Exam Questions, Revision Notes, Smart Lesson, Target Test, Mock Exams and Past Papers — no Flashcards.
So before you commit to a study plan around a specific tool, check the page for your exact board and subject rather than assuming the full set is there.
Watch the exam year for WJEC Maths
Two WJEC Maths routes are labelled with different exam years:
- WJEC Maths — "Last exams 2026," with Past Papers.
- WJEC Maths and Numeracy — "First exams 2026," split into Foundation and Higher, each with Revision Notes and Past Papers.
- WJEC Maths Numeracy — "Last exams 2026," with Past Papers.
If you are sitting WJEC Maths, confirm which specification year applies to you before choosing materials, because the old and new routes are listed separately.
How to check your own board and subject
- Open the subject navigation on the site.
- Select your exam board (for example AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, CCEA, WJEC Eduqas).
- Pick your subject and, where shown, your tier (Foundation or Higher).
- Read the resource labels on that page — these tell you exactly which of Revision Notes, Exam Questions, Flashcards, Smart Lesson, Target Test, Mock Exams and Past Papers are available.
If a resource type is missing from your subject page, it is not offered for that board and subject combination, even if it appears for a different one.
