What is pscbobcats.com?

Updated

pscbobcats.com is the official athletics website for Peru State College, home of the Bobcats. It is a sports information hub rather than a general college website, so you should go there for team schedules, results, and athletics news, not for admissions, financial aid, or academic program details.

Who runs it and what the name means

The site is branded as "Peru State College Athletics - Official Athletics Website" and describes itself as "the official athletics website for the Peru State College Bobcats." That tells you two things:

  • Peru State College is the school it represents.
  • Bobcats is the nickname used for the college's athletic teams, which is why the domain combines "psc" (Peru State College) with "bobcats."

Because it is labeled "official," it functions as the athletics department's primary web presence rather than a fan blog or a third-party stats aggregator.

What you can find there

The site is organized around the kinds of content sports followers expect from a college athletics department. Based on the site's own navigation and page content, the main areas include:

Content type What it covers
Events Upcoming games and athletics events
Results Outcomes of completed competitions
Top Stories Featured athletics news and highlights
Search A way to look up specific teams, stories, or pages

The homepage surfaces "Top Stories" and promotional content areas, which is typical of an athletics site that rotates featured news, recaps, and announcements.

When to use it — and when not to

Use pscbobcats.com when you want:

  • The schedule for a Bobcats team
  • Final scores and results
  • Official athletics news and feature stories

Look elsewhere when you need:

  • Admissions, tuition, or academic program information
  • General campus news unrelated to athletics
  • Official transcripts or student services

Those fall under Peru State College's main institutional website, not its athletics site. Treating pscbobcats.com as a general college portal will send you looking in the wrong place.

A quick way to confirm you're in the right spot

If you land on the site and see the heading "Peru State College Athletics," navigation items like Events, Results, and Search, and a "Top Stories" section, you are on the official athletics site. If you need something academic or administrative instead, switch to the college's main website.
