How to View No-IP Pricing and Sign Up for a Plan
Updated
No-IP publishes a pricing page at noip.com/pricing and a plan configuration tool at noip.com/plan-builder/configure. You can start on a free Dynamic DNS hostname or move to a paid tier (Enhanced, Pro, or Managed DNS options) by creating an account through the Sign Up link. The exact prices, billing terms, and which features sit behind each tier are shown on those pages rather than in this article, so treat the pricing page as the source of truth before you commit.
Where to find pricing
Two entry points are listed on the site:
- Pricing page —
https://www.noip.com/pricing. Use this to compare plan tiers side by side. - Plan builder —
https://www.noip.com/plan-builder/configure. Use this if you already know roughly what you need and want to configure a specific plan.
Both are reachable from the main navigation. If you land on the homepage, look for the Pricing link or the Sign Up button in the header.
What the plans cover
No-IP groups its offerings into a few areas. The homepage lists these under Solutions:
| Area | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Free Dynamic DNS | A free dynamic hostname for remote access to devices |
| Enhanced Dynamic DNS | More hostnames, no expirations, priority support |
| Pro Dynamic DNS | Unlimited devices, advanced DNS features |
| Managed DNS (Plus / Premium) | Faster DNS, security, global failover, redundancy |
| Squared Backup DNS | A secondary DNS layer if your primary goes down |
| Domain Services | Domain search, branded email, SSL certificates |
The free tier is genuinely free for a dynamic hostname. Paid tiers are described as costing "just a few dollars a year" for Enhanced, but the actual figure is only on the pricing page — don't assume a number from the marketing copy.
How to sign up
- Go to noip.com and click Sign Up in the header.
- Create an account (email and password).
- Choose a hostname — for free Dynamic DNS, pick from the available No-IP domains.
- If you want a paid tier, go to the pricing page or plan builder, select the plan, and follow the checkout flow.
- Confirm your hostname and, if applicable, complete payment.
The expected result: you get a hostname that resolves to your current IP, and a dashboard where you can manage it. For paid plans, you also get the extra hostnames and features listed for that tier.
Discount codes and promotions
The homepage currently shows a promotion: "Public Tunnels is included with Enhanced, now 25% off" with the code SEP25OFF, stated to end September 30, 2026. If you're buying Enhanced, check whether that code still applies at checkout — promotional terms change, so verify on the pricing page before relying on it.
Common snags
- Free vs paid confusion. The free plan gives you a dynamic hostname but not the extra hostnames, no-expiration guarantee, or priority support. If you need those, you're on a paid tier.
- Hostname availability. Free hostnames come from No-IP's own domains. If you want your own domain in the hostname, that's the Branded Remote Access or domain registration path.
- Price not shown here. Because prices aren't in the source material, always open the pricing page or plan builder to see current numbers and billing periods.
- Account required first. You can browse pricing without an account, but you can't claim a hostname or buy a plan until you sign up.
Which path fits you
- Just need remote access to a home device → Free Dynamic DNS. Sign up, pick a hostname, done.
- Need more hostnames or no expirations → Enhanced Dynamic DNS. Check the pricing page and apply any active code.
- Running many devices or business-grade DNS → Pro Dynamic DNS or a Managed DNS tier. Use the plan builder to configure.
- Want your own domain in the hostname → Branded Remote Access or domain registration, then point it at your DDNS setup.
Start at the pricing page to see real numbers, then use Sign Up to create the account and claim your hostname.
