Prices and product names come from the NV Access store listings. The bundle's original price is shown as AUD $225.00, with the current sale price AUD $199.00.

Basic Training for NVDA (eBook) — AUD $32.00

This is the entry-level paid item: a training eBook that teaches NVDA from the ground up. It suits someone who has just installed NVDA and wants guided instruction rather than figuring out commands by trial and error.

Choose it if:

  • You are new to NVDA and want a single, organized learning resource.
  • You prefer reading and practicing at your own pace over live training.
  • You want the lowest-cost paid option before committing to certification.

Skip it if you already use NVDA confidently and only need a credential — in that case, go straight to the certification.

NVDA Expert Certification — AUD $100.00

This is a certification rather than a course. It's aimed at users who want documented proof of their NVDA skills — for example, when applying for a job that requires screen reader proficiency, or when offering accessibility services to clients.

Choose it if:

  • You already work in NVDA daily and want formal recognition.
  • An employer, client, or program requires evidence of NVDA competency.
  • You want a credential to list alongside other accessibility qualifications.

The store listing does not describe the exam format, prerequisites, or renewal terms, so check the certification page directly before purchasing if those details matter to your decision.

NVDA Productivity Bundle — AUD $199.00 (was AUD $225.00)

The bundle combines training and certification at a discount. At AUD $199.00 versus AUD $32.00 + AUD $100.00 = AUD $132.00 for the two items separately, the bundle costs more than buying Basic Training and Expert Certification individually — so the bundle's contents are not simply those two products added together. Confirm exactly what the bundle includes on its product page before buying, and compare against the individual items if your goal is only training or only certification.

Choose it if:

  • You want a broader set of NV Access learning materials in one purchase.
  • The bundle's listed contents match what you actually need.

How to Buy

All three products are purchased through the NV Access online store, using "Add to cart" for the eBook and bundle and a direct "Go to NVDA Expert Certification" link for the certification. The site does not state whether an account or login is required, so treat that as unconfirmed.

Free Alternatives Worth Knowing

NVDA itself is free and has already been used by more than 250,000 people according to NV Access. Before paying for training, note that NV Access also points to free routes into the community: the official NVDA user email list, NVDA communities worldwide, and social channels including Mastodon, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, BlueSky, RBlind, and Discord. If your goal is simply to learn NVDA, those free channels plus the software's own documentation may be enough; the paid products make sense when you want structured material or a formal credential.
