Why Am I Not Receiving Emails from Star Army?

Updated

If you're not getting emails from Star Army (stararmy.com) — most often a registration verification email — the site itself names the likely cause: the server sometimes hits its hourly limit on outgoing emails. When that happens, your message is delayed or never arrives. The fix is to contact Wes directly by email or Discord, or get help in the official Discord chat at Discord.gg/stararmy.

The most likely cause

Star Army's own notice on the forum states that "sometimes the server hits our limit of emails we can send per hour." This is a server-side sending cap, not a problem with your address or inbox. If you requested a verification email during a busy period, it may simply not have gone out.

What to do

The site gives two direct contact routes for this exact situation:

  • Email Wes at the address shown on the forum notice (the site lists it as an email contact for missing forum emails, including account verification).
  • Talk to Wes on Discord — the notice offers this as an alternative to email.

Before you assume it's the email limit

A few quick checks are worth doing first, since the notice only covers the server-limit case:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder — verification mail is a common false positive.
  2. Confirm you entered the correct address at registration.
  3. Wait a short while and try again; an hourly cap clears on its own.
  4. If it still doesn't arrive, use the email or Discord contact above rather than repeatedly re-requesting.

Why the email matters

A forum account is the prerequisite for most of Star Army's community features. The site notes that wiki access now uses your forum account login, and that to get a wiki account you should send Wes a forum DM. So a stuck verification email blocks not just posting but also wiki participation — which is why resolving it through direct contact is the intended path.
