What are the regular Mass and Reconciliation times at Our Lady of Peace & Blessed Dominic Barberi?

The Roman Catholic Parish of Our Lady of Peace & Blessed Dominic Barberi (olop.org.uk) publishes a regular weekly timetable of Sunday Mass, weekday Mass, Friday Adoration, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The times below are the parish's stated regular schedule, but the parish itself advises checking the latest newsletter, because the weekly timetable changes for weddings, pilgrimages, feast days, and seasonal periods such as Lent and Advent.

Sunday Mass

Weekday Mass

Note that Wednesday's Mass moves to 6.30 am during Lent and Advent.

Friday Adoration and Rosary

• Friday Adoration runs from 11.00 am to 6.30 pm.
• During Lent, Adoration runs from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm, with Stations of the Cross at 6.00 pm followed by Holy Mass.
• Adoration resumes after the summer break on Friday 25th September 2026. In the meantime, the parish invites people to Adoration on Monday and Friday from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm, followed by the Rosary and Holy Mass.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

• On Mass days — Mondays, Fridays, and Holy Days of Obligation — Reconciliation is available from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
• Confession is also available by private appointment with Fr Stan.

Why you should check the newsletter before going

The parish explicitly asks people to check the latest newsletter because the weekly timetable changes. The published page gives several examples of one-off changes:

• Friday 18th September: Holy Mass in the morning at 8.15 am; no Adoration due to a wedding, and no evening Mass at the church due to the Centenary Mass at English Martyrs Church.
• Parish Pilgrimage (Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th September): no weekday Mass.
• Friday 25th September: Fr Linus celebrates the 6.30 pm Mass.
• Sunday 27th September: Fr Linus celebrates all three Masses.
• Monday 28th September: Fr Linus celebrates Mass.
• Parish office closed Tuesday 22nd to Tuesday 29th September.
• Tuesday 29th September, Feast of the Holy Archangels Michael, Gabriel & Raphael: Holy Mass at the church at 6.30 pm.

If you are planning to attend a particular Mass or go to Confession, confirm the time against the current newsletter first — especially around Lent, Advent, Holy Days of Obligation, and any week with a wedding or parish pilgrimage.
