Where to Find Argo Source Code, Docs, and Community
Updated
Argo's source code, documentation, and community entry points all live at argoproj.github.io. The homepage is a navigation hub: it links to GitHub for code, provides "Learn More" pages for each tool, and points to community and corporate maintainer contacts. Use it when you want to evaluate Argo, read docs, or find where to contribute.
Source code and docs
The site's primary call to action is View on GitHub, which takes you to the Argo project repositories. From there you can read source, file issues, and open pull requests.
For documentation, each tool has its own Learn More link on the homepage:
| Tool | What it does (per site) | Where to start |
|---|---|---|
| Argo Workflows | Kubernetes-native workflow engine supporting DAG and step-based workflows | Learn More link on homepage |
| Argo CD | Declarative continuous delivery with a fully-loaded UI | Learn More link on homepage |
| Argo Rollouts | Advanced Kubernetes deployment strategies such as Canary and Blue-Green | Learn More link on homepage |
| Argo Events | Event-based dependency management for Kubernetes | Learn More link on homepage |
If you are new, read the tool page that matches your task before cloning anything — the four projects solve different problems, and picking the wrong one is the most common wasted step.
Community
The homepage states you can Join the growing community and lists adopters and contributors, including names such as Adobe, Alibaba, Intuit, Red Hat, and BlackRock, alongside a longer list (the page references 199 entries under "See all"). This is useful for two things:
- Judging whether Argo is used at a scale similar to yours.
- Finding organizations that already run it, if you want reference points before adopting.
The page also notes the project was Created by and is Maintained with a set of organizations, and invites you to Contact us to learn more about corporate maintainers. That contact route is the one to use for commercial support or maintainer questions — the homepage does not publish pricing or support terms, so treat those as things to ask about rather than assume.
What the homepage does not give you
It is a landing page, not a full index. It does not list installation commands, version numbers, or release notes. For those, follow View on GitHub and then the individual tool's documentation. Expect to leave the homepage within one or two clicks for anything actionable.
Practical path
- Open argoproj.github.io and identify which of the four tools matches your need.
- Click that tool's Learn More to read its docs.
- Click View on GitHub to reach source code, issues, and contribution guides.
- If you need organizational support or maintainer contact, use the Contact us link referenced on the page.
