What Is msuspartans.com?

Updated

msuspartans.com is the official athletics website for Michigan State University (MSU) and its Spartans teams. It is the primary source for MSU sports news, schedules, live results, and ticket links. Use it when you want official, up-to-date information about Spartan teams rather than coverage from third-party news outlets or fan sites.

What You'll Find on the Site

The homepage is organized around a few core sections, each serving a different fan need:

Section What it provides
Top Stories Latest news articles and feature stories across all sports
Spartan Schedule Upcoming events and recent results in one view
Upcoming Events Date, time, opponent, and links for each scheduled competition
Recent Results Final scores with links to recaps and box scores
Quick Links Direct access to Tickets, Gameday Central, the MSU Athletics App, and giving pages

Sports Covered

The site covers the full range of MSU varsity programs. Based on current homepage content, this includes:

  • Football
  • Volleyball
  • Men's and Women's Soccer
  • Baseball
  • Softball
  • Field Hockey
  • Men's Golf

Coverage extends across the athletic year, so the mix of featured sports shifts by season.

How to Use It

For schedules and results: The Spartan Schedule section lists upcoming events with date, time, and opponent, and recent results with final scores. Each completed event links to a story recap and box score where available.

For tickets: Ticket links appear next to individual events and in the Quick Links area. Availability and pricing are handled through the linked ticketing pages, not displayed on the homepage itself.

For following live: Upcoming events include options such as "Watch," "Listen," and "Live Stats" where those are offered. Not every event lists all three.

For news: Top Stories surfaces the most recent articles. An archive link ("View All Archives") and a "Load More Stories" option let you browse beyond the initial items.

Example: Checking a Game Day

If you want to know when the Spartans play next, open the Spartan Schedule section. You'll see entries like "Women's Soccer vs No. 18/17 Washington — Sep 27 | 1 PM," with links to B1G+ (streaming), Live Stats, and Tickets. After the game, the same event moves to Recent Results with the final score and a recap link.

Who It's For

The site serves fans, students, alumni, and anyone tracking MSU athletics. It functions as a central hub: one place to check scores, find the next game, buy tickets, and read official coverage, rather than visiting separate pages for each sport.
