Which Cambridge Exam Boards and Subjects Does CAIE Finder Support?
Updated
CAIE Finder covers Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE/CIE) past papers for three qualification families: GCE O Level, GCE A Level, and IGCSE. If you are sitting any of those exams, you can search the index for a question and get back the matching answer together with the original question and answer PDFs. If your exam is from a different board (for example, a non-Cambridge national board), the site is not built for it.
Qualification types supported
The searcher is organised around these Cambridge categories, which also act as filters:
- GCE O Level
- GCE A Level
- GCE (all GCE papers together)
- IGCSE (all IGCSE papers together)
So you can narrow a search to a single level, or widen it to all of GCE or all of IGCSE depending on how specific you want to be.
Subjects covered
The subject list is broad and spans the common core plus many optional and less common subjects. Commonly searched subjects include:
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Biology
- Accounting
- Business Studies
- Economics
- English
- Computer Science
Beyond those, the index also lists subjects such as:
Agriculture, Art & Design, Bangladesh Studies, Biblical Studies, Classical Studies, Commerce, Design & Technology, Design & Textiles, Design and Communication, Development Studies, Digital Media & Design, Divinity, Drama, Enterprise, Environmental Management, Food & Nutrition, Fashion & Textiles, Geography, Global Perspectives & Research, Hinduism, History, Information & Communication Technology, Information Technology, Islamic Studies, Islamiyat, Psychology, Science (Combined), Sciences (Co-ordinated), Sociology, Statistics, Thinking Skills, Law, Marine Science, Media Studies, Music, Pakistan Studies, Physical Education, Physical Science, Religious Studies, Sport and Physical Education, Travel & Tourism, and World Literature.
If your subject appears in that list, it is supported for searching. If it does not appear, treat it as unsupported rather than assuming coverage.
How to check your own exam is covered
- Identify your qualification: O Level, A Level, or IGCSE.
- Confirm your subject is in the list above.
- Take about 3 to 9 consecutive words from anywhere in your question — not necessarily the start.
- Enter them in the search box and run the search.
- If results appear with the original question and answer PDFs, your paper is covered; if nothing relevant returns, the paper or subject likely is not indexed.
Search tips that affect whether you find a match
- Words do not have to come from the beginning of the question, but they must be consecutive.
- Plain words work better than mathematical expressions, so describe the question in words where possible.
The practical takeaway: CAIE Finder is for Cambridge O Level, A Level, and IGCSE across a wide subject range. Check your qualification and subject against the lists above before relying on it, and phrase your search as a short run of consecutive plain words.
