How to Browse and Compare RVs for Sale on Fretz RV
Updated
Fretz RV's site lets you narrow inventory along four independent filters—condition (new/used), RV type, manufacturer, and floorplan/feature—plus shortcut entry points for budget and deals. The most efficient approach is to set condition and type first, then use manufacturer and floorplan filters to cut the list down to units that actually fit how you'll use the RV. This guide covers what each filter does, how to combine them, and where the site's deal and budget pages fit in.
Start with condition: new, used, or both
The top-level choice is New or Used, with options for New and Used, New Only, and Used Only. This is the broadest cut and should be your first decision, because it changes both price range and what's available in each category.
- New Only — current model-year and recent inventory, typically with full manufacturer warranty coverage.
- Used Only — prior-year units, often where the lowest prices sit.
- New and Used — the default if you haven't decided; useful for seeing how much the same type costs across both.
If budget is the deciding factor, the site also has a dedicated RVs Under 10K entry, which is a faster route than filtering used inventory manually.
Filter by RV type
Once condition is set, the RV Type list is the main structural filter. It's long, so it helps to know the groupings:
| Group | Types included |
|---|---|
| Motorized | Class A, Class A Diesel, Class B, Class B Diesel, Class B+, Class C, Super C (plus diesel and toy-hauler variants) |
| Towable | Travel Trailer, Fifth Wheel, Toy Hauler (travel trailer and fifth wheel), Expandable, Folding Pop-Up Camper, Teardrop, Destination Trailer, Park Models, Truck Camper |
| Specialty | Toy hauler variants, front cargo deck models, other/boat |
Two things worth noting. First, many types have diesel and toy-hauler sub-variants listed separately—if you want a diesel Class C with a garage, that's its own entry, not a checkbox on the base Class C. Second, "Other" and boat categories exist, so the list isn't purely RVs.
Pick the type that matches your towing vehicle and license situation before anything else. A fifth wheel and a Class B van solve completely different problems.
Narrow by manufacturer
The Manufacturer filter covers a wide spread, from mass-market brands to premium and van-conversion builders. The list includes Airstream, Coachmen, Coleman, CrossRoads, Dutchmen, Ember, Fleetwood, Forest River, Grand Design, Jayco, Keystone, KZ, Lance, Newmar, nuCamp, Palomino, Pleasure-Way, Renegade, Roadtrek, Starcraft, Storyteller Overland, TAXA Outdoors, Thor Motor Coach, Tiffin, Winnebago, and others, plus van-focused names like Midwest Automotive Designs and Outside Van.
Use this filter when you already have brand loyalty or a service-network preference. If you don't, skip it—filtering by manufacturer too early hides comparable units from brands you haven't considered.
Use floorplan and feature filters to match how you'll camp
The Floorplans / Features list is where you translate lifestyle into a search. Options include:
- Sleeping and bunks — Bunkhouse, Bunk Over Cab, Loft, Murphy Bed
- Bathroom layout — Bath and a Half, Rear Bath, Front Bath
- Kitchen and living — Front Kitchen, Rear Kitchen, Kitchen Island, Front Living, Rear Living Area, Front Entertainment, Rear Entertainment
- Bedroom position — Front Bedroom, Rear Bedroom, Rear Twin
- Outdoor use — Outdoor Kitchen, Outdoor Entertainment
- Access and cargo — Side Ramp, Front Cargo Deck, Two Entry/Exit Doors
This is the filter that most directly determines whether a floorplan works for you. A bunkhouse and a rear-living couples' layout can be the same length and price but suit entirely different trips.
Check the deal and event pages
Beyond the filter system, Fretz RV surfaces time-limited entry points:
- RV Specials and Deals of the Week
- Upcoming Events, including a 2027 Pre Order Sale
- Try Before You Buy
- Book VIP Sales Appt (linked from the site's VIP sales page)
These are worth checking after you've filtered, since a deal page may show a unit that matches your criteria at a better position than the standard listing.
Compare units on the same dimensions
When you've narrowed to a shortlist, compare them consistently rather than jumping between listing pages. The site's filter set gives you the natural comparison dimensions:
- Condition — new vs. used, and warranty implications
- Type — motorized vs. towable, and what it requires from your vehicle
- Length and floorplan — sleeping capacity, bath count, kitchen position
- Manufacturer — build reputation and dealer/service network
- Price band — including whether it falls under the Under 10K entry
Related tools on the site
If you're still deciding rather than shopping a specific unit, Fretz RV also publishes supporting resources: an RV Basics section, a Trailer Towing Guide, RVing 101, a How Long Can an RV Last page, RV Delivery Estimator, RV Trade-in Evaluation, and financing tools including an RV Loan Application, FREE RV Pre-Approval, and an RV Payment Calculator. These help answer fit-and-cost questions that the inventory filters alone don't cover.
For service after purchase, the site lists an RV Service Center, Schedule Service, Service Menu/Prices, Shop RV Parts, Get Parts Quote, a How to Winterize an RV guide, and an RV Pre-Trip Check.
Quick path if you just want to start
- Choose New Only, Used Only, or New and Used.
- Pick your RV Type.
- Add Manufacturer only if you have a brand preference.
- Add Floorplans / Features that match your must-haves.
- Check RV Specials, Deals of the Week, and RVs Under 10K for anything the filters missed.
- Book a VIP Sales Appt or call the Souderton, PA location to see units in person.
The filters are independent, so combining them is what produces a usable shortlist—condition and type alone will still return a large set.
