What kinds of student opportunities are listed on Mojza?

Updated

Mojza's "latest opportunities" section collects time-bound openings for students, mainly volunteering roles and events, alongside its O Level and A Level resource libraries. Each listing shows the organiser, location, deadline, and a "View Details" link, and some are marked "Free Entry." The section is a bulletin board, not a full database — listings rotate as deadlines pass, so treat what you see as a current snapshot rather than a permanent catalogue.

The two opportunity types visible on the page

The homepage groups listings under type labels. From the current page evidence, two appear:

Type What it covers Example on the page
Volunteering Unpaid roles with organisations, often remote Raj Journal staff applications; Entelechia Collective volunteering
Event Competitions, hackathons, and similar one-off activities Sunbeam Hackathon Islamabad by Hack Club

Both types are youth-oriented. The volunteering listings are online and open to applicants worldwide; the event listing is tied to a physical location (Islamabad, Pakistan) and a narrower age range (girls aged 13–18).

What each listing tells you

Every card follows the same structure, which is what makes the section scannable:

  • Organiser — the group running it, e.g. Raj Journal, Entelechia Collective, Hack Club
  • A short description — what the opportunity involves and what you get out of it
  • Location — "Online" or a city
  • Deadline — a date, e.g. 29/07/2026 or 31/12/2026
  • Status label — "Open" or "Closed"
  • Cost label — "Free Entry" where applicable
  • View Details — the link to the full listing

The status and deadline labels matter most: a card can still be visible after its deadline has passed, so check both before spending time on an application.

Reading the listings in practice

Take the Entelechia Collective volunteering card. It states the organisation is a youth-led mental health non-profit, lists the kinds of help wanted (writing, design, marketing, reels), and names what a volunteer receives: a certificate, hands-on experience, and involvement in destigmatising mental health among youth. Location is Online, deadline 31/12/2026, and it is marked Free Entry and Open.

Compare that with the Sunbeam Hackathon card: one day, in Islamabad, for girls aged 13–18, with free merch, prizes such as keyboards and headphones, and free food. It is marked Free Entry but Closed, with a deadline of 27/08/2026. The pattern is consistent — description, location, deadline, status, cost — so you can compare opportunities on the same fields rather than guessing.

How to use the section

  1. Open the "latest opportunities" area on the Mojza homepage.
  2. Scan the type label first (Volunteering or Event) to filter by what you actually want.
  3. Check the status label — skip anything marked Closed.
  4. Check the deadline against your own schedule; a 2026 deadline gives you planning room, a near-term one does not.
  5. Check the location — "Online" is open to most applicants, a city name means travel or residency requirements.
  6. Follow "View Details" for the full requirements before applying.

If nothing current fits, "Browse All Opportunities" leads to the wider list, and the section refreshes as new listings are added.

Limits worth knowing

The page evidence shows a small number of live listings at any time, and the section mixes opportunity types rather than letting you filter by category, cost, or region. There is no stated pricing for the opportunities themselves beyond the "Free Entry" labels, and no information on whether Mojza charges for anything — so do not assume unlabelled items are free. For subject study material, the O Level, A Level, and "All Resources" sections are separate from this opportunities area and serve a different purpose.
