How to Join the N3O Age of Empires and StarCraft 2 Clan

Updated

N3O ("Never 3ver Old") is a forum-based clan for Age of Empires and StarCraft 2 players, and the site runs a dedicated Join N3O board for recruitment. To join, you register a forum account and post in the Join N3O section, where the current requirements are listed. The exact conditions are set by the clan itself, so treat the Join N3O board as the authoritative source rather than any summary.

What N3O is

N3O is a long-running community forum covering:

  • Age of Empires — separate boards for Age of Empires II, III, and IV, plus a Strategy & Recorded Games board and a Scenarios board for uploading and downloading custom scenarios.
  • StarCraft 2 — a general discussion board.
  • General and technical areas — a General Board for off-topic talk, a News board, and a Tech Help board for hardware and software questions.
  • Join N3O — the recruitment board, moderated by a Global Moderator.

Because the clan spans both Age of Empires and StarCraft 2, you do not need to commit to only one game to take part.

Steps to join

  1. Register an account. The forum header includes Login and Register links. You need an account before you can post, since the Join N3O board is a posting board rather than a contact form.
  2. Open the Join N3O board from the board index.
  3. Read the existing threads first. The board contains a pinned-style thread titled "Post Here To Join N3O," which is where applications are collected. Reading it shows you what other applicants posted and what information was expected of them.
  4. Reply in that thread with your application. State your in-game name, which game(s) you play, and anything else the board asks for. Posting in the designated thread keeps your request visible to the moderators.
  5. Wait for a response from a moderator. The board is moderated by a Global Moderator, so approval and follow-up questions come from clan staff rather than an automated process.

Practical notes

  • Activity levels vary by board. Some sections are much busier than others, and the most recent posts across the forum date from different years. Check the latest post dates in the boards you care about before assuming a given game section is active.
  • The Join N3O board itself is not the busiest. Its most recent reply shown on the index is from 2021, so responses may not be immediate. If you get no reply, posting again or asking in the General Board is a reasonable fallback.
  • Requirements can change. Since the clan controls recruitment, confirm the current criteria in the Join N3O board instead of relying on older posts or third-party descriptions.

If you only want to read strategies, replays, or scenario files, you can browse much of the forum without joining — membership matters mainly if you want to be listed as part of the clan or take part in clan-organised play.
