What Is Golf Guys on Denny Hamlin's Website?

Updated

Golf Guys is an invitation-only golf tour made up of 21 friends who play regularly, according to the description on dennyhamlin.com. It appears on Denny Hamlin's official website as one of his off-track projects, alongside 23XI Racing and the Denny Hamlin Foundation. The site describes the group as "the most frustrated amateurs on tour" and notes that some members also race stock cars — but golf and racing are never scheduled on the same days.

What the Website Says About Golf Guys

The "OFF THE TRACK" section of dennyhamlin.com lists Golf Guys with this description:

  • Who takes part: 21 friends, playing by invitation only
  • Format: Regular play organized as a tour, including tournament rounds
  • Season ending: A champion is crowned at the end
  • Tone: Self-described as "the most frustrated amateurs on tour"
  • Racing connection: Some members race stock cars, but not on the same days as the golf

The site frames it as something to follow along with: "Enjoy our ride."

How Golf Guys Fits Into Denny Hamlin's Off-Track Projects

Denny Hamlin's website groups his non-driving interests under "OFF THE TRACK," and Golf Guys sits alongside two larger ventures:

Project What it is Hamlin's role
23XI Racing NASCAR Cup Series team launched with Michael Jordan, racing since 2021 with Bubba Wallace in the No. 23 Toyota Camry Part-owner, while continuing to race for Joe Gibbs Racing
Denny Hamlin Foundation Raises awareness and funds for children with cystic fibrosis, partnering with organizations focused on research, treatment advances, and quality-of-life care Founder
Golf Guys Invitation-only golf tour of 21 friends with tournament rounds and a season champion Participant and featured on his site

What Golf Guys Is Not

Based on the website content, Golf Guys is not a public league, a charity event, or a fan competition. There is no indication on the page of open registration, membership fees, or a schedule open to outside players — the description specifies an invitation-only group of friends. The page also does not present it as a business venture in the way 23XI Racing is described.

Why It's on the Site

The inclusion of Golf Guys reflects the site's broader purpose: covering Hamlin's life both on and off the track. Visitors looking for his racing record, his team ownership, or his foundation work will also find this personal project listed among them, with a "Learn more" link pointing to additional details.
