How to Navigate the M.G.CRUZ Website

Updated

The site mgcruz.es is the portfolio of Manuel Garcia de la Cruz, organized around four main bodies of work: Esculturas (sculpture), Cerámica (ceramics), Acuarelas (watercolor), and Tintas/Sumi-e (ink painting). Navigation is straightforward: a single home page links out to each medium, and each medium page links to individual series and pieces. The site is in Spanish, with an "EN" language toggle available in the menu.

Main sections

The home page presents the four disciplines as entry points:

  • Esculturas — ceramic sculpture
  • Cerámica — stoneware, porcelain, and raku pieces
  • Acuarelas — watercolor on paper and wood
  • Tintas/Sumi-e — ink on rice paper and sumi-e

Each section opens into its own gallery of works.

Finding specific works and series

Individual pieces are grouped under named series. If you are looking for a particular work, use these series names to orient yourself:

Section Series / works listed
Esculturas Devas-I, Devas-II, Devas-III, Devas-V
Cerámica Fuentes de Agua, Piezas de Porcelana, Piezas de Rakú
Acuarelas Mar-I, Mar-II, Maleta Perdida, Almendros en Flor, Sueños de Invierno, Nenúfares, Miscelánea
Tintas/Sumi-e Cenizas y tinta, Aloes, Luna y Bambues, Alpujarras, Amapolas, Bambues, Almendros, Hojas de Otoño, Hipomeas

The raku firing process is documented within the ceramics area under "Alquimia de Devas," which shows the firing process alongside the Devas sculpture series.

CV and contact

  • CV — linked from the main menu, alongside the gallery sections.
  • Contacto — a contact form. The page states you can write from there and will receive a reply as soon as possible. Note that the form displays an error message ("Oops...! some problem!") in the captured page content, so if submission fails, this may be a site-side issue rather than something you did wrong.

Language and structure

The menu includes an EN option for switching to English. The underlying content — series titles, the artist's statement, and navigation labels — is in Spanish, so switching language may not translate every work title. The site footer credits the work as "Haikus: oSane / © MGCruz 2025."

If you only need one thing: use the top menu to pick a medium, then scan the series list on that page to find the specific work. Contact and CV sit at the same menu level as the four galleries.
