EnglishWhat Music and Albums Are Available on Cathy Segal-Garcia's Website?
Updated
Cathy Segal-Garcia's official site (cathysegalgarcia.com) presents her recorded catalog as a set of individual album pages, each with its own LISTEN/BUY entry point, plus a Music Store link and an email contact for physical CD purchases. If you want to hear or buy her music, the site organizes it by release rather than in a single shop page, so you navigate album by album.
Albums Featured on the Site
The site highlights four recordings, each with a short description and a LISTEN/BUY link:
| Album | Year / Context | What the Site Says |
|---|---|---|
| Social Anthems Volume 2 | Released on Dash Hoffman Records | A compilation of songs "that speaks to the tumultuous times we live in," pairing her warm voice with "hip, updated jazz arrangements and top-notch musicianship." |
| Cathy Segal-Garcia & Phillip Strange Live in Japan | 2022 release; recorded on a Japan tour in December 1992 | A live 2-disc recording with pianist Phillip Strange, described as "an intimate musical space where authenticity creates a rich listening experience." |
| Straight Ahead to the UK | 2019 | Recorded in England and the U.S.; mixes standards, modern jazz compositions, and a couple of originals by Segal-Garcia. |
| Dreamsville | 2019 | A trio setting of voice, piano, and guitar; the site describes it as creating "an openness which commands the listeners attention." |
A press quote on the page (JW Vibe by Jonathan Widran) describes Dreamsville as "remarkable for its pit drop hushed sense of intimacy and masterful expressions of tender, thoughtful moods."
How to Listen and Buy
Each album entry carries a LISTEN/BUY link, which is the starting point for hearing or purchasing that specific release. Beyond the individual albums, the site provides two additional routes:
- Music Store — a dedicated store link ("VISIT MUSIC STORE →") that collects her music in one place.
- Physical CDs by email — the page states: "Email Cathy here to purchase physical CDs." If you want a physical copy rather than a digital listen or download, this is the contact path the site gives.
The site also mentions a BECOME A PATRON option and a VIEW ARCHIVE link in connection with her online hangs, though these relate to her live sessions rather than the album catalog itself.
Related Content on the Same Site
If your interest goes beyond listening, the site's main headings point to other services: Take Private Voice Lessons, Attend A Workshop, and Have Cathy Produce Your CD. These sit alongside the music offerings, so the same site covers both her recordings and her work as an educator and producer.
What to Do Next
- To sample a specific album, open its page and use its LISTEN/BUY link.
- To browse everything at once, follow the Music Store link.
- To order a physical CD, use the email contact noted on the page.
- To follow new releases and live sessions, the site points to her Facebook and YouTube channels, where she hosts "Noontime Hang" sessions, often on Mondays from noon to about 2:00 p.m.
One practical note: the site does not list prices or payment methods on the pages described here, so check the LISTEN/BUY or Music Store destination for current purchasing details.
