What Is Reston Now?

Reston Now is a local news and community information site for Reston, Virginia. Its own site now states that Reston Now articles can be found on FFXnow, that the Reston Now archive remains available, and that readers can sign up for an email newsletter. So if you are looking for current Reston Now coverage, the site directs you to FFXnow; if you need older articles, use the Reston Now archive.

What the site says about its current status

The homepage message is short and specific:

• New articles: "Reston Now articles can now be found on FFXnow"
• Past articles: "You can also visit the Reston Now archive"
• Updates: "sign up for our email newsletter"

That means Reston Now is best understood as a former or legacy publication page rather than an active article feed. The brand still exists at restonnow.com, but the site itself points readers elsewhere for ongoing coverage.

What Reston Now covers

• Local government and public meetings
• Development, transportation, and road projects
• Schools and community events
• Business openings and closings
• Public safety and weather updates

The available page evidence does not list specific beats or sections, so treat these as the general scope of a Reston community news site rather than a confirmed Reston Now section list.

Common points of confusion

"Is Reston Now still publishing?" The site's own notice says new articles are on FFXnow, which indicates Reston Now is not the primary outlet for current coverage.

"Where did the old articles go?" They remain accessible through the Reston Now archive, according to the site message.

"Is Reston Now the same as FFXnow?" The notice treats them as related destinations for the same coverage, with FFXnow hosting the articles now. The available evidence does not describe the ownership or editorial relationship in more detail.
