Manly Warringah Orchid Society Events in 2026

The Manly Warringah Orchid Society (MWOS) has five major public events scheduled for 2026: two auctions at Cromer Community Centre (12 April and 8 November), two shows at Belrose Supercenter (Winter Show, 19–21 June; Orchids by the Sea, 7–9 August), and the St Ives Orchid Fair at St Ives Showground (14–16 August). All of these events are open to both members and the public, so you don't need to join the society to attend.

Auctions

Both auctions are described by the society as a chance for members and the public to pick up a wide variety of quality plants at excellent prices.

  • April Auction — Sunday 12 April 2026, Cromer Community Centre. The catalogue is expected to be available at least two weeks before the auction, listed under Events on the website.
  • November Auction — Sunday 8 November 2026, Cromer Community Centre.

If you want first pick of the catalogue, check the Events section roughly two weeks ahead of each date.

Shows and Fairs

The three show events follow a similar format: spectacular orchid displays, plants for sale, the chance to talk to an expert, and demonstrations.

  • MWOS Winter Show — 19–21 June 2026, Belrose Supercenter.
  • Orchids by the Sea — 7–9 August 2026, Belrose Supercenter.
  • St Ives Orchid Fair — 14–16 August 2026, St Ives Showground.

Note that Orchids by the Sea and the St Ives Orchid Fair fall in the same week in August, so if you're travelling for one, it's worth planning to catch both.

Monthly Members' Meetings

Beyond the five headline events, MWOS holds a members' meeting every month at Cromer Community Centre, and the public is welcome to attend. The next meeting is at 8pm on Thursday 26 March 2026 (hall opens at 7pm), with guest speaker Matt Roberts talking about Stanhopeas.
