If you have questions, the organisers invite you to contact them directly through the site's contact option.
Championship divisions and seeding
Competitors can enter one or more championship divisions for a shot at becoming Australian National Yoyo Champion. All championship divisions follow the IYYF Official Scoring Rules and Criteria.
Seeding for Worlds, EYYC, Asia Pacific, or similar events comes from the five Championship Divisions — there is no seeding from the X Division or Amateur Division.
International competitors are categorised as competing in the "Open" version of a division and are not included in the National Championship order or seeding.
1A Division
One long-spinning yoyo attached to the string, with intricate string tricks.
- Round 1: Prelim (only applies if there are 20+ competitors)
- Freestyle length: 1 minute
- Music: your choice, uploaded to the ANYC website
- Scoring: Technical Execution (TE), 4 × Freestyle Evaluations (FE), and Major Deductions (MD)
- Who competes: anyone not seeded to the 1A Final
- Round 2: Final
- Freestyle length: 3 minutes
- Music: your choice, uploaded to the ANYC website
- Scoring: Technical Execution (TE), 8 × Freestyle Evaluations (FE), and Major Deductions (MD)
- Who competes: prelim winners, regional champions, and the current ANYC Champion
1A Amateur Division
Also based on one long-spinning yoyo attached to the string. Note that this division does not provide seeding to Worlds, EYYC, Asia Pacific, or similar events — only the five Championship Divisions do.
Joining the Australian yoyo community
ANYC is described as the home of the Australian yoyo community, run by fellow enthusiasts who meet regularly to share the spirit and camaraderie of Australian yoyoing. You can join the community through the event's Facebook Group, linked from the ANYC website.
The event is supported by sponsors across Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers, including vendors and yoyo brands such as Werrd, OFFSET, Topsyo, Blueprint, Yoyofactory, Yoyoshop SG, Cheatcode, Tuzzles, JYC, Rewind, Yoyofriends, Yozean, Duncan, and the Sydney Kendama Cup. The organisers ask attendees to support these sponsors in return.
