How to Search for an NDCA Registrant on ndca.org
Updated
Go to the NDCA registrant search, type a name or part of a name into the search field, and click "Find." You can narrow the results by adding a city and state, or look someone up directly by their NDCA number using a pound sign (for example, #1234). The search returns the registrant's NDCA number, name, gender and status, account status, city and state, mailing address, telephone, email, company, and website.
Where the Search Lives
The registrant search is part of the NDCA Registration & Rules section of ndca.org, and the same search is also available directly on the NDCA homepage. You do not need to navigate into a separate directory to use it.
Search Methods
The search field accepts three input formats, each suited to a different situation:
| What you have | What to type | Example |
|---|---|---|
| A name (full or partial) | Name or part of a name | John Doe |
| A name plus a location | Name, then city and state | John Doe, Provo UT |
| An NDCA number | Pound sign followed by the number | #1234 |
Searching by name
Type the name or any part of it and click Find. Partial names work, so you can search with just a surname or a first name if you are unsure of the exact spelling.
Narrowing by city or state
If a name is common, append the city and state after a comma, as in John Doe, Provo UT. This filters the results to registrants in that location rather than returning every match nationwide.
Searching by NDCA number
If you already have the registrant's NDCA number, type a pound sign immediately followed by the digits, such as #1234. This is the most precise method because it bypasses name spelling and location entirely.
What the Results Show
A successful search returns a registrant record containing:
- NDCA number
- Name
- Gender and status
- Account status
- City and state
- Mailing address
- Telephone
- Company
- Website
This is enough to confirm that a person is registered with the NDCA and to verify their current contact details.
Common Issues
No results returned. Check the spelling, try a shorter portion of the name, or remove the city and state to widen the search. If you have the NDCA number, use the # format instead.
The events calendar fails to load. The events section of the site can display a server error message asking users to wait while it is fixed. This affects the events calendar, not the registrant search, so you can continue searching for registrants while it is resolved.
Membership card feature unavailable. The "View Membership Card" feature may show a message that it is installing and to check back in a couple of hours. Registrant search results are separate from this feature.
Related NDCA Resources
Beyond the registrant search, ndca.org hosts the NDCA Rule Book, invigilation figures and restrictions, adjudicator credentialing information, the competition calendar, the National Ranking System, and the NDCA Premier National Rankings. The site also lists elected officers, appointed positions, committees, and member organizations if you need to confirm who holds a particular role.
