What is For Love of the Horse?

Updated

For Love of the Horse is an online store selling all-natural Chinese herbal health care products for horses and dogs. It offers condition-specific herbal formulas—such as solutions for arthritis, hoof ailments, colic, heaves, and liver disease—rather than general-purpose supplements. The site is aimed at owners looking for holistic or alternative support for a specific diagnosed or recurring health issue in their horse or dog.

What the site offers

The product catalog is organized around named health problems, with separate formulas for horses and dogs. Examples drawn from the site's own product list include:

For horses

  • Arthritis Solution
  • Hoof Ailments Solution, Hoof Health & Growth Solution, Hoof Bone Repair Solution
  • Colic Solution, Choke Solution, Gastric Ulcers Solution
  • Heaves Solution, Respiratory Distress Solution
  • Liver Disease Solution, Liver Support Solutions
  • EMS/Cushing's/IR Solution
  • Tendon Repair Solution, Torn Tendon Solution, Joint Injury / Synovitis Solution
  • Natural Pain Relief Solution
  • Total Immune Health Solution

For dogs

  • Allergic Skin Reaction for Dogs
  • Arthritis / Osteoarthritis Solution for Dogs
  • Kidney Disease/Failure Solution for Dogs
  • Liver Disease/Failure Solution for Dogs
  • Seizures/Distemper Solution for Dogs
  • Torn Tendon Solution for Dogs
  • Urinary Incontinence Solution for Dogs
  • Essential Immune Health for Dogs

The site also lists a Recovery Trio for Horses and accessory kits, so the range extends beyond single-ingredient or single-condition formulas.

How buying works

Products are purchased through an online shop with a shopping cart and account system. The site shows:

  • Shop / Horse Herbal Health navigation and an Express Order option
  • Login / Register with email and password, plus a "Remember login" option
  • Auto Ship Maintenance programs for both horses and dogs, described as a way to "save time & money"
  • A September Featured Products section advertising 10% off the Natural Pain Relief Solution for horses and dogs

Because the site promotes an auto-ship maintenance program and a featured-product discount, the practical path for a regular user is to create an account, add the relevant formula to the cart, and consider auto-ship if the product is intended for ongoing use.

Who it is for

This site suits horse and dog owners who:

  • Have identified a specific condition (for example, arthritis, hoof problems, or digestive issues) and want a matching herbal formula
  • Prefer a holistic or Chinese-herbalism approach over conventional products
  • Want the convenience of recurring delivery through an auto-ship program

It is less suited to someone looking for a single general wellness supplement, since the catalog is built around individual conditions and separate species.

What to check before ordering

  • Match the formula to the species. Horse and dog versions are listed separately, even for the same condition.
  • Confirm the condition. Formulas are named for specific problems, so the right product depends on an accurate understanding of what is being treated.
  • Review the auto-ship terms. The site advertises auto-ship as a time- and money-saving option, but the specific billing and cancellation details are not shown in the available page content, so check them during checkout.
  • Note the discount is time-limited. The 10% off applies to featured September products, not the whole catalog.

For current pricing, ingredient lists, and shipping details, consult the individual product pages on the site, since those specifics are not included in the store's front-page content.
