What Is Scrabble Cheat (scrabblecheat.us)?
Updated
Scrabble Cheat is a free browser-based word finder at scrabblecheat.us. You type in the letters on your rack, press Generate, and it returns every word you can build from those letters, with the highest-scoring options listed first. It's useful when you're stuck mid-game, playing Scrabble Go on a phone or tablet, or just want to check whether a word you're considering is legal. It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the official Scrabble brand.
How it works
The tool takes your letters as input and unscrambles them into valid word combinations. Results are ranked so you don't have to scan the whole list:
- Highest score first — the most valuable words appear at the top.
- Longest to shortest — results are sorted by word length, so 2-letter words come last.
- Sort options — you can re-sort by highest score or alphabetical order.
Using it in 3 steps
- Enter your letters — type the tiles currently on your rack into the search bar.
- Mark blank tiles — use
*or?as a wildcard for each blank tile (joker). - Press Generate — within seconds you get all possible word combinations.
If you entered a blank tile, it's highlighted in red in the results so you can see exactly where it's used and which letter it stands for.
Reading the results
The list is built to save you time:
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Top of list | Highest-scoring words |
| Scrolling down | Shorter, easier words |
| Bottom of list | 2-letter words |
| Red highlight | Position of a blank tile / joker |
If more than 10 words exist for a given word length, only the first 10 are shown. Press Show More Words to reveal the rest for that length.
Advanced Word Finder
For more control — handy when you're playing Scrabble Go on a phone or iPad and want more options — the advanced finder adds filters:
- Words that start with specific letters
- Words that end with specific letters
- Words that contain specific letters
Combined with your input, blank tiles, and board position, this narrows results to words you can actually play.
Practical features
- Reject or hide words — tap a word you don't want, tap the red cross to confirm, and it's crossed out and hidden from your list.
- New letters, same session — after you play a word and draw new tiles, just add them to the search bar. The tool remembers your previous letters, so you don't start over.
When to use it (and when not to)
Use it when you want a fast answer to "what can I spell with these tiles?" or need to verify a high-value play. Skip it if you're playing in a setting where outside assistance isn't allowed — in competitive or tournament Scrabble, using a word finder during play typically violates the rules. Treat it as a practice, casual-play, or study aid rather than a tournament companion.
