How to Start a New Search After Playing a Word on Scrabble Cheat
Updated
After you play a word, you don't need to clear the search bar or reload the page. Type your new tiles directly into the same search bar and press Generate again. Scrabble Cheat keeps the letters you already entered, so you can add the new ones on top of them and run a fresh search in seconds. This is the fastest way to keep using the tool during a live game, including on the Scrabble Go app.
Steps to run your next search
- Play your word in your game (for example, in Scrabble Go on your phone or iPad) and draw your replacement tiles.
- Go back to the Scrabble Cheat search bar. Your previous letters are still there — you don't have to start over.
- Add the new letters to the existing input.
- Use a
*or?for any blank tile (joker) you're holding. - Press Generate. Results appear within seconds, with the top-scoring words listed first.
- Adjust the results if needed — sort by highest score or alphabetical order, or switch to the advanced Word Finder for filters like "starts with," "ends with," or "contains."
The expected result: a fresh list of playable words built from your updated rack, ranked so the highest-value options sit at the top.
What carries over between searches
| Element | What happens |
|---|---|
| Previously entered letters | Remembered, so you just add new ones |
| Blank tiles | Entered as * or ?, highlighted in red in results |
| Result sorting | Longest/highest-value words first, 2-letter words last |
| Rejected words | Stay hidden once you cross them out |
Because the tool remembers your earlier input, adding new tiles is quick and easy without having to re-enter everything.
Reading the results for your next move
Results are sorted from longest words to shortest, so the highest-value words appear at the top. As you scroll down, you reach shorter and easier words, with 2-letter words shown last. If you used a blank tile, it's highlighted in red so you can see exactly where it's used and which letter it stands for.
If a word length has more than 10 possible words, only the first 10 are shown. Press Show More Words to reveal the rest for that specific length.
Removing words you don't want to see
If you disagree with a word the tool shows, tap it and a red cross appears. Tap the red cross to confirm — the word is crossed out and hidden from your list. Once rejected, it won't be shown again, which keeps your next search focused on words you'd actually play.
When to use the advanced Word Finder instead
The basic search is enough when you just want fast, top-scoring options. Switch to the Advanced Word Finder when you have more time and need more control — for example, when playing the Scrabble Go app and you want to search for words that start with, end with, or contain specific letters. Combined with your input, blank tiles, and board position, it shows the exact words you can play.
