How to Get Help and Join Discussions on The Raven Republic Forums

Updated

The Raven Republic Forums is a long-running Armored Core community board. You can read most of it as a guest, but to post questions, reply to threads, or introduce yourself you need to register and log in. Help-seeking works best if you pick the right subforum: Game Help for mission, enemy, part, and maneuver questions; Theory and Concept for mechanics analysis; Core-Related for general news and discussion. Guides, statistics, and wiki material live in dedicated subforums under Game Help.

What the forum covers

The board is organized around Armored Core generations and topics, so you can go straight to the era you're playing:

  • Armored Core 4
  • Last Raven
  • Formula Front
  • Nine Breaker
  • Nexus
  • Silent Line
  • Another Age
  • Armored Core 2
  • Master of Arena

Designs are split by generation too (1st through 6th Generation, plus Garages), which matters because part stats and build rules differ between titles.

Registering and logging in

The login form asks for a username/email and password, with a "Remember me" option and a lost-password link. Registration is the step that turns a guest account into a posting account.

Two things to expect:

  • New accounts may sit in a validating state. The Help Desk explicitly allows guests and validating members to post, which tells you validation is a normal stage rather than a block.
  • If something goes wrong with the account or the site, the Help Desk is the place to raise it.

Where to post your question

Your goal Where to post
A specific mission, enemy, part, or maneuver problem Game Help
Deep mechanics analysis or older-generation theory Theory and Concept (including Prior Generations)
General AC news, updates, misc topics Core-Related
Showing off or critiquing a build Designs, in the subforum for your generation
Introducing yourself Assembly → Introductions
Organizing community activity Assembly (including P.A.C.T.)
Site problems, ideas, requests The Help Desk
Buying or selling Trading Post

If you're unsure where a thread belongs, Game Help and Core-Related are the two busiest on-topic areas, so a misplaced question there will still be seen.

Finding guides, statistics, and wiki content

Game Help has two subforums worth knowing: Yet Another Armored Core Wiki and Guides and Statistics. These are where reference material accumulates rather than being scattered through discussion threads. The forum portal also links out to Content, PVP Videos, a Wiki, a Photo Gallery, and Oekaki, so reference material isn't limited to the board itself.

Practical approach: search before posting. These boards have years of accumulated threads, and a question about a specific mission or part has often been answered already.

Participating in the community

Beyond Q&A, the social side runs through Assembly, which contains Introductions and P.A.C.T., and through Billboard for non-AC announcements. Introductions is the low-pressure way to start posting and to let people know which games and generations you play.

A few notes from how the board actually runs:

  • Activity is uneven. Some subforums have recent posts, while others show last activity going back years. Check the "Last Post" column before expecting a fast reply in a quiet section.
  • The Rules thread is pinned in the Administration section and is meant to be read before posting.
  • The Help Desk is also where Discord-related issues get raised, so it covers more than just forum software.

Common snags

  • Posting as a guest fails. Only the Help Desk accepts guest and validating-member posts; everywhere else needs a logged-in account.
  • Your question gets no answer. It's usually placement or specificity. Name the game, the mission or part, and what you've already tried.
  • You can't find a guide. Check the Guides and Statistics and Yet Another Armored Core Wiki subforums directly rather than relying on a general search.
  • The thread you found is stale. Check the date in the Last Post column; a 2015 trading thread or a 2023 announcement isn't an active conversation.
