What Resources and Features Does The Raven Republic Forums Offer?

Updated

The Raven Republic Forums (ravenrepublic.net) is a long-running English-language discussion board for the Armored Core series, covering titles from the original Armored Core through Armored Core 4, Last Raven, Formula Front, Nine Breaker, Nexus, Silent Line, Another Age, Armored Core 2, and Master of Arena. It combines a general community area with game-specific help, design sharing, media galleries, and a trading section. You can browse most boards as a guest, but posting requires registering an account.

Game help, guides, and statistics

The Armored Core section is the core of the site. Within it, Game Help is where members ask about specific missions, enemies, parts, and maneuvers. It has two sub-forums worth knowing about:

  • Yet Another Armored Core Wiki — a community-maintained reference area.
  • Guides and Statistics — collected guides and data threads.

A separate Theory and Concept board handles in-depth analysis of game mechanics, with a Prior Generations sub-forum for older titles.

Designs, builders, and contests

The Designs board is where AC builds and design contests live. It is split by generation so you can find material relevant to the game you play:

  • Garages
  • 6th Generation
  • 5th Generation
  • 4th Generation
  • 3rd Generation
  • 2nd Generation
  • 1st Generation

If you want to see how other players assemble their machines, or enter a contest, this is the section to start in.

Media: videos, photos, and art

AC Media collects Armored Core media, including a sub-forum called Armored Kodakan for images. The site's portal also lists PVP videos, a photo gallery, and an Oekaki (drawing) area as part of its front-page navigation, so media browsing is not limited to forum threads alone.

Community and trading

Beyond game content, the forums include:

  • Assembly — general mingling and organizing, with Introductions and P.A.C.T. sub-forums.
  • Billboard — PSAs and non-Armored Core event advertising.
  • Trading Post — a buy-and-sell board for members.
  • General Discussion — off-topic conversation.

Site functions and access

The forum software provides Search, a Members list, a Calendar, and a Help page. There is also a Help Desk board where guests and validating members can post problems, issues, ideas, or requests — useful if registration or login gives you trouble. A Discord link is listed in the site navigation for real-time chat.

How to start using it

  1. Open ravenrepublic.net and use the portal links (Content, Game Help, Guides and Statistics, PVP Videos, Wiki, Photo Gallery, Oekaki, Builders) to jump straight to the resource type you want.
  2. To read threads, no account is needed. To post, register and log in.
  3. For a specific question, go to Game Help and check whether your title fits an existing sub-forum before starting a new thread.
  4. For builds, browse Designs by generation; for mechanics discussion, use Theory and Concept.

One practical note: activity is uneven across boards. Some threads show recent posts, while others have sat for years, so check the last-post date before expecting an active conversation.
