What Is stgregoryparish.com? St. Gregory Parish Website Explained

Updated

stgregoryparish.com is the official website of St. Gregory Parish, a Catholic church located at 2223 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02124. The site serves parishioners and visitors who need practical information — Mass schedules, confession times, sacraments, religious education, giving, and contact details — rather than being a general Catholic resource or a diocesan portal.

What You'll Find on the Site

The homepage is organized around the everyday needs of a parish community. Its main sections include:

  • Mass Times — daily, vigil, and Sunday schedules
  • Sacraments — Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Marriage, and Holy Orders
  • Our Faith — explanations of Catholic belief, including "What is the Catholic Church?" and "What do Catholics Believe?"
  • Parish Life — calendar, ministries, and upcoming events
  • Newcomers and Returning Catholics — including RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) for those becoming Catholic
  • Giving — online donation options, including a dedicated Food Pantry Donation
  • Contact — staff, directions, contact form, and funeral planning

Mass and Confession Schedule

The site publishes the current schedule directly on the homepage:

Service Time Location
Daily Mass (Mon–Fri) 6:45 a.m. Lower Church
Saturday Vigil 4:00 p.m. Upper Church
Sunday 7:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 5:00 p.m. Upper Church
Confession Saturdays, 12:00–1:00 p.m. Upper Church

The page also notes Eucharistic Adoration on Saturday, October 3rd from noon to 1:00 p.m., with confessions heard during that time, and Anointing of the Sick after all Masses on October 3rd and 4th. Because these are dated announcements, check the site or call the parish at (617) 298-2460 to confirm current times before you go.

Who the Site Is For

  • Local parishioners checking Mass times, confession hours, or the bulletin
  • Newcomers and visitors looking for directions, staff contacts, or a welcome
  • People exploring Catholicism through the RCIA and "Returning Catholics" pages
  • Those seeking sacraments — Baptism, Marriage, or Funeral Planning — who need to know how to arrange them
  • Donors who want to give online, including to the parish Food Pantry

Practical Notes

The site lists two addresses: the parish office at 2223 Dorchester Ave and a directions listing at 2215 Dorchester Ave, both in Dorchester, MA 02124. The phone number is (617) 298-2460. The homepage also links to a Vatican encyclical letter, Magnifica Humanitas, on safeguarding the human person in the time of artificial intelligence, indicating the site occasionally shares broader Church documents alongside parish information.

If your goal is simply to attend Mass, confirm a schedule, or contact the parish, the homepage covers it. For anything time-sensitive — holiday schedules, funeral arrangements, or sacrament preparation — call the parish office directly, since website announcements can go out of date.
