When Is Confession and Eucharistic Adoration at St. Gregory Parish?

Updated

Confession at St. Gregory Parish is held on Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. in the upper church. Eucharistic Adoration is listed for Saturday, October 3rd from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m., and confessions are heard during that same hour. Both are sacramental and devotional opportunities published on the parish website, so the times below reflect what the site currently lists rather than a standing weekly schedule for Adoration.

Confession Times

Day Time Location
Saturday 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. Upper Church

The parish lists Confession as a Saturday midday window. If you plan to go, arriving earlier in the hour gives you more buffer if there is a line, since the window closes at 1:00 p.m.

Eucharistic Adoration

The website describes Eucharistic Adoration as taking place on Saturday, October 3rd from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m., with Confessions heard during that time. Because this is written as a specific date rather than a recurring weekly entry, treat it as a scheduled event and confirm before making plans around it.

How to Verify Before You Go

Parish schedules can change around holy days, holidays, or staffing. To confirm:

  1. Check the parish website's home page and bulletin for the current week.
  2. Call the parish office at (617) 298-2460.
  3. Note the address if you are visiting in person: 2223 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02124 (the site also lists 2215 Dorchester Ave for directions).

Other Sacramental Notes on the Same Page

  • Daily Mass: Monday–Friday, 6:45 a.m. (lower church)
  • Saturday Vigil Mass: 4:00 p.m. (upper church)
  • Sunday Mass: 7:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 5:00 p.m. (upper church)
  • Anointing of the Sick: listed after all Masses on Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th

If your reason for going is Confession specifically, the Saturday noon–1:00 p.m. window is the one to plan around; Adoration on October 3rd overlaps with it, so you can attend both in the same visit.
