How can I find career opportunities at Jagex?

Updated

Jagex lists its job openings through the "Join the Jagex Team" careers section of jagex.com. That page is the official entry point for finding roles and learning what the studio is like to work for. It's aimed at people who want to help shape the future of RuneScape and its other worlds.

Where the careers section lives

On jagex.com, the careers area appears as a dedicated block:

  • Heading: "JOIN THE JAGEX TEAM"
  • Call to action: "JOIN US"

The site describes the studio as "a creative, collaborative, player-first studio where talented people grow fast, solve meaningful problems and do the best work of their careers." It also frames the work as helping "shape the future of our worlds, and your own."

What you'll find there

Based on the site's own description, the careers section is where you:

  1. See open roles — the "JOIN US" link leads to current listings.
  2. Learn about the studio's culture — the About section ("Two Decades of World-Building") covers the company's story, culture, and how it approaches building games "designed to last."
  3. Understand the mission — Jagex says it builds "living, evolving worlds shaped by their communities," grounded in "integrity, creativity, and a deep respect of the players."

Who this is for

The careers page suits people who want to work on long-running, community-driven games. Jagex has been building worlds for more than 25 years, and its portfolio includes:

Game Description (from the site)
RuneScape "The Classic Adventure Reborn" — a charmingly unpredictable adventure, 25 years in the making
Old School RuneScape "Gielinor, like it used to be" — a timeless, player-shaped MMO
RuneScape: Dragonwilds A survival-based adventure — "survive, craft and slay dragons together" in Ashenfall

How to get started

  1. Go to jagex.com.
  2. Find the "JOIN THE JAGEX TEAM" section.
  3. Select "JOIN US" to reach the careers listings.
  4. Browse open positions and read the About/culture pages before applying.

If you want to understand the company before applying, the site's "Two Decades of World-Building" section is the best place to start — it covers Jagex's history, values, and direction for the next era of RuneScape.
