Example of the kind of update the site carries

One featured item describes a commission from New Music USA for a major work written for the cello quintet SAKURA during the 2019/20 season. The piece, Carving an Alphabet, was scheduled to premiere on the closing concert of the Piatigorsky International Cello Festival, part of the Colburn Celebrity Series, at Disney Hall in Los Angeles on March 22, 2020. The site also points readers to the New Music USA website for additional project updates.

Who is this site for?

It is most useful if you want to:

• Follow Donald Crockett's composing activity and performance calendar
• Learn about specific works, commissions, and premieres
• Find information on recordings such as the Blue Earth CD

If you are looking for a performer's booking page, a commercial storefront, or a general music encyclopedia entry, this site is not structured for those purposes — it is a composer's own site centered on his work and events.
