What Is mikesteen.com?

Updated

mikesteen.com is the personal website of Mike Steen, a professional pilot and instructor whose career spans paragliding, paramotoring, wingsuit flying, speedwing flying, skydiving, and wingsuit BASE jumping. The site presents his professional identity and background rather than serving as a shop, booking platform, or course catalog. It is most useful if you want to understand who Mike Steen is, what he flies, and where he sits in the wingsuit and paragliding world — for example, before contacting him, referencing him in an article, or checking his credentials as an instructor.

Who Mike Steen is

According to the site, Mike was born into a world of piloting and aviation, and his life still revolves around the sky. The core claim on the page is that he is one of the world's most experienced paraglider, wingsuit, and speedwing pilots.

His stated qualifications and roles include:

  • Master-rated paragliding and paramotoring instructor
  • Tandem master
  • Aircraft pilot
  • Many years of wingsuit BASE jumping and skydiving experience
  • COO of Squirrel

That combination matters because it covers three different sides of the sport: instruction (teaching and flying with passengers), piloting (powered and unpowered aircraft), and high-performance wingsuit/BASE work. Few people hold credentials across all of them.

What the site actually offers

The page is a profile, not a service page. Based on the available content, you can expect:

What you'll find What you won't find (not stated on the page)
A description of Mike's flying career and experience Pricing for courses, tandems, or gear
His instructor and pilot ratings A booking or scheduling system
His role as COO of Squirrel A product catalog
His background in wingsuit BASE and skydiving Login or membership areas

If you arrived looking to book a tandem flight, buy equipment, or sign up for instruction, the site as described does not present those functions. It establishes who he is and what he has done.

Why the Squirrel connection is relevant

Mike is listed as COO of Squirrel, a wingsuit and BASE equipment brand. That detail is the main bridge between his personal profile and the gear side of the sport: it explains why his name appears in contexts involving wingsuit equipment and why his flying experience is relevant to product development and testing. If you encountered his name through Squirrel, this site is the background on the person behind that role.

When this site is worth your time

  • You want a quick, authoritative summary of Mike Steen's experience and ratings.
  • You're verifying his credentials as an instructor or pilot.
  • You're researching the people behind Squirrel.
  • You're looking for a reference point on what elite-level paragliding, speedwing, and wingsuit experience looks like.

If instead you need course dates, gear specs, or prices, you'll need to look elsewhere — those details are not part of the page content described here.
