What Kinds of Aviation Products Can You Buy on AviationMegastore.com?

Updated

AviationMegastore.com is an aviation hobby shop based near Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands, describing itself as Europe's largest aviation store since 1989. You can buy aircraft scale models, aviation books, flight shop items, metal signs, scale modelling kits, and various other aviation items, plus downloadable products. It suits collectors and modellers looking for a wide catalogue of airliner and fighter models, kits, and books from a single source.

Main product categories

The site organizes its shop into these categories:

  • Aircraft Scale Models — finished models, including both airliner and fighter subjects
  • Aviationbooks — aviation books
  • Flight Shop — flight-related items
  • Metal Signs — aviation-themed metal signs
  • Scale Modelling Kits — kits for building models
  • Various Aviation items — assorted aviation goods
  • Downloads / Download Products — digital products

Brands and selection

The store says it carries over 1,000 brands, listing examples such as Aviaboss, Corgi, Hobby Master, JC Wings, Herpa, Inflight200, ARD200, LUPA, PPC, Skymarks, Hogan, Phoenix, Sky500, NGModels, Gemini, Aviation 200, Aviation 400, Aeroclassics, Western Models, Oxford Models, JFox, WB Models, El Aviador, JP60 Aeromodelos, Panda Models, and Panzerkampf Models.

It states that over 60,000 individual products are permanently in stock, with a total of 1,000,000 on its shelves in the store. If you are chasing a specific livery, scale, or manufacturer, this breadth is the main reason to check the site first.

Discounted items and downloads

Two parts of the range sit outside the standard catalogue:

  • Aviation Outlet Store.com — a separate outlet with 1,000 or more discounted products, described as updated daily
  • Download Products — downloadable items, listed as their own category

Services that affect what you can buy and how

  • Hold & Store — lets internet customers combine several individual orders into one single shipment, which the store says reduces overall shipping cost significantly. Useful if you buy small items across multiple orders.
  • Frequent buyers programme — collect Megapoints that convert into Megavouchers for loyal customers, online or in the store.
  • Newsletters — a free daily newsletter and a weekly newsletter summarising new and recent arrivals, so you can track new airliner and fighter scale models, kits, and books.

Practical notes before ordering

  • The site shows a Ship to United States option and a shopping cart with login, so you can set a destination and check out as a registered customer.
  • Payment details are covered on the site's Payment information page.
  • The physical shop near Amsterdam Schiphol Airport can be visited if you are in the Netherlands.

If your interest is airliner or fighter scale models, modelling kits, or aviation books, and you want one large catalogue with brand variety, this store matches that need. If you only want a single inexpensive item, the Hold & Store and Megapoints benefits matter less, and the outlet section is the better place to start.
