How to See Graeae Productions and Book Tickets

Updated

Graeae is a UK theatre company that creates radical theatre with access at the heart of its work. To see its productions and book tickets, start from the Productions section of graeae.org, where shows are grouped by location and split into current and past productions. Upcoming shows list dates and a Book link; past productions are marked as such and generally no longer sell tickets.

Where productions live on the site

The homepage navigation includes a Productions heading, with sub-sections for:

  • Online
  • London
  • East Midlands

Selecting a location narrows the list to shows in that area or format. A View all link opens the full production list if you don't want to filter.

Reading a production listing

Each entry follows a consistent pattern, so you can tell at a glance whether a show is bookable:

Element What it tells you
Title The production name, e.g. 12 Letters To My Name
Location tag Where it sits in the site's grouping (e.g. Yorkshire, London, National)
Dates The run, e.g. "From 12 Jun to 26 Jun 2027"
Status Upcoming shows show dates and a Book link; older ones are labelled Past production
Accessible performance types e.g. Audio Described, Captioned
Read more Full production details
Book Ticket purchase entry point

The listing for 12 Letters To My Name (Yorkshire, 12–26 Jun 2027) shows both a Read more link and a Book button, which is the pattern to look for when a show is on sale.

Booking step by step

  1. Go to the Productions section and pick a location filter, or use View all.
  2. Find a show with a date range and a Book link — that combination indicates tickets are available.
  3. Check the Accessible performance types listed (for example Audio Described or Captioned) before choosing a date, since not every performance in a run necessarily carries every access provision.
  4. Select Book to go to the ticket purchase route for that production.
  5. If a show only shows Read more and is tagged Past production, it is no longer on sale — use it for reference rather than booking.

Access information before you book

Access is central to Graeae's work, and the site surfaces it in two places: as Accessible performance types on individual production listings, and through a dedicated Access heading in the main navigation. If you need a specific provision, check the production listing first and then the Access section for the company's wider access information.

If you can't find a bookable show

Productions are added and retired over time, so a quiet period on the Productions page is normal. In that case:

  • Browse Past production entries to see the kind of work Graeae makes.
  • Check News for announcements, including items such as the Access to Work Campaign 2026.
  • Look at Get Involved if your interest is participation rather than attendance — it covers Writers, Young People, and Teachers & Students, including the Young Company (16+, Deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent) and the Children's Company (ages 8–12).
