Are There Weekday Services or Weekday Visitor Parking at the Cathedral Church of Saint Luke?

Updated

Yes. The Cathedral Church of Saint Luke holds a weekday Eucharist on Wednesdays at 12:05 p.m., offered in person. Weekday visitors can also park at no charge in the Washington Street lot on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., where ten designated spaces are available for Cathedral visitors.

Weekday Worship

The published weekday schedule lists one service:

Day Time Service Format
Wednesday 12:05 p.m. Midday Eucharist In person

The Sunday listings describe music, incense, and livestream details in detail, but the weekday entry does not. If you are planning around a lunch break or need to know what to expect, contact the office at 407-849-0680 before you go.

Weekday Visitor Parking

The Washington Street lot offers ten designated spaces for Cathedral visitors at no charge during weekday business hours.

  • When: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Where: The Washington Street lot
  • How many spaces: Ten designated visitor spaces
  • Cost: No charge for Cathedral visitors

This is separate from the Sunday arrangements. On Sunday mornings, parking is free in the surface lot at Washington and Magnolia, downtown street meters are free all day, and the Regions Bank garage on the northeast corner of Orange Ave. and Washington St. can be used free with an entrance ticket plus an exit ticket from an usher.

Two lots are not for general weekday visitors: the small lot behind the Cathedral on Jefferson Street is reserved for staff and people with limited mobility (one handicap space), and the Regions Bank garage instructions are described for Sunday services.

Before You Visit on a Weekday

  • Confirm the service. The Wednesday 12:05 p.m. Midday Eucharist is the only weekday service listed. Call 407-849-0680 if you want to confirm it is being held on a particular date.
  • Arrive early enough to park. With only ten designated weekday spaces, allow extra time, especially around midday.
  • Watch the clock. The free visitor parking window ends at 5 p.m., so check the time if you plan to stay downtown afterward.
  • Check for updates. The Cathedral points visitors to its newsletter and the Church Center App for news and events, which is where schedule changes would likely appear.

The Cathedral is at 130 N Magnolia Ave., Orlando, FL 32801.
