Does PlanetCalc Support Chinese?
Updated
Yes. PlanetCalc includes Chinese (中文) as one of its interface language options. The language selector appears at the top of the site alongside Deutsch, English, Español, Français, Português, and Русский. Selecting 中文 switches the interface to Chinese, so you can browse the calculator catalog and use individual calculators without reading English.
How to switch to Chinese
- Open planetcalc.com.
- Find the language row at the top of the page (it sits next to the Login link).
- Click 中文.
- The page reloads with Chinese interface text. The change applies to the catalog and to calculator pages you open afterward.
If you land on a calculator page directly from a search engine, the same language row is still at the top, so you can switch there without going back to the homepage.
What "Chinese interface" covers
The language setting changes the site's navigation and interface labels — menu items, category names, buttons, and field labels. Calculator names and category headings are part of the catalog structure, so they follow the selected language as well.
Two things worth knowing:
- Input and output stay numeric or symbolic. A date converter, unit converter, or numeral system converter produces the same result regardless of interface language. The language only affects how the tool is presented to you.
- Some calculator descriptions may be shorter or less detailed in translation. If a result looks ambiguous, switching to English can help you check the original wording.
Other supported languages
| Language | Selector label |
|---|---|
| English | English |
| German | Deutsch |
| Spanish | Español |
| French | Français |
| Portuguese | Português |
| Russian | Русский |
| Chinese | 中文 |
Practical notes
- The language choice is not tied to an account. You can switch languages whether or not you are logged in.
- The catalog is organized into broad sections — Life, Date and Time, Health, Professional, Engineering, Finance, Image processing, Navigation, Statistics, Telecommunications, Units converters, and Cryptography — so once the interface is in Chinese, you can navigate by category rather than by guessing English terms.
- If you only need one calculation, the fastest path is: search or open the calculator, then switch the language at the top before entering your values.
In short, Chinese is a first-class interface option on PlanetCalc, reachable from the language row on any page, and it does not require an account or any payment step.
