Gate Times and Race Weekend Schedule at Winchester Speedpark
Updated
For a race weekend at Winchester Speedpark, the gate opens Friday at 1pm and stays open until 10pm, Saturday from 6am to 10pm, and Sunday from 6am. Racing starts at 8am Sunday with one sight lap. Sign-up runs Friday 2pm–8pm, Saturday 7am–1pm, and Sunday 6:30am–8am, but on-track racers must be signed up by 1pm Saturday and Stacyc racers by 12:30pm Saturday — no exceptions. These times come from the track's posted schedule for its Halloween Weekend event, so treat them as the pattern for a typical race weekend rather than a permanent calendar.
Gate times by day
| Day | Gate hours |
|---|---|
| Friday | 1pm–10pm |
| Saturday | 6am–10pm |
| Sunday | 6am |
Friday's 1pm opening is deliberate: the track opens early to prevent a backup on Route 10. Do not arrive before 1pm Friday — there is no gate person on duty before then.
Sign-up and pre-registration windows
- Friday: 2pm–8pm
- Saturday: 7am–1pm
- Sunday: 6:30am–8am
Two hard deadlines apply on Saturday:
- Stacyc racers must be signed up by 12:30pm Saturday.
- All on-track racers must be signed up by 1pm Saturday. The track needs this cutoff to finalize the race order for a 1:30pm start.
The track encourages signing up before Sunday morning whenever possible. If you pre-register online, note that each day has a separate link — make sure you register for the correct races on the correct day.
Sunday racing start
Racing begins at 8am Sunday with one sight lap, scheduled that way to complete racing before daylight runs out. Plan to be at the gate and through sign-up well before 8am if you are racing.
Parking rules
This weekend is expected to be busy, and parking is monitored to maximize space:
- Park awning to awning.
- No saving spots. If you want to park together, you must arrive together.
- Do not block the driveway to Winchester Motorsports. It stays open and customers need access to the parking area.
Costs to expect at the gate and at sign-up
- Gate fee: $20 for adults and racers. Non-racers 4 and under are free. Seniors (non-racers) 65+ and Winchester residents pay $10.
- Race entry: $40 for the first two classes each, $20 for each additional class.
- Transponder rental: $10 per day, with $400 held as collateral on card or in cash.
- Mechanic pass: $5 for non-members. One mechanic per rider, and the mechanic must be 18.
Practical checklist
- Arrive Friday after 1pm, or Saturday/Sunday within gate hours.
- Sign up Friday afternoon or Saturday before 1pm if you are racing on track — earlier if you ride Stacyc.
- Pre-register online using the link for the specific day you are racing.
- Park awning to awning and keep the Winchester Motorsports driveway clear.
- Be ready for an 8am Sunday start with one sight lap.
