Horizon Hobby: Official RC Store for Cars, Airplanes, and Boats

Updated

Horizon Hobby is the official online store at horizonhobby.com for remote control cars, trucks, airplanes, helicopters, boats, and transmitters. Use it when you want to browse current releases, check limited-time offers, or place an order directly with the brand. The homepage is organized around featured product blocks and category navigation, so the fastest path is to start from the sections described below rather than searching the open web for a reseller.

Confirm you are on the official site

Before browsing or buying, check that the address bar shows horizonhobby.com. The site identifies itself as "The Leader in Radio Control | RC Cars, Airplanes, and More" and describes its catalog as RC airplanes, RC cars, RC trucks, RC helicopters, RC boats, and RC transmitters. If a page uses a different domain, treat it as a separate seller and verify it independently.

What the store covers

The homepage groups products under a single positioning line: "RC to Command the Skies. Master the Trail. Rule the Waves." That maps to three broad shopping areas:

Area What you'll find Example from the site
Air Airplanes and sport flying models Hangar 9 Carbon Cub 15cc, E-flite Super Decathlon 1.2m
Ground Cars, trucks, and bashers ARRMA INFRACTION GROM 3S BLX 4X4 (1/12 scale, 50+ MPH), Losi 1/12 NASCAR Brad Keselowski No. 6
Water Boats Linked from the site's Pro Boat section
Support gear Transmitters and accessories Listed among the site's core categories

Brands named on the homepage include ARRMA, Losi, E-flite, Hangar 9, and Pro-Line. Pro-Line also appears as a section for accessories such as monster truck ramps.

Find current releases and offers

The homepage is built around rotating merchandising blocks, so use them as your starting point:

  • New & Ready to Ship — highlights in-stock releases. The ARRMA INFRACTION GROM and the Losi NASCAR Ford Mustang are presented here as ready to run out of the box.
  • Updated and Upgraded — refreshed models such as the Hangar 9 Carbon Cub 15cc, described with scale details, a lightweight airframe, and modern design.
  • Limited-time offers — the E-flite Super Decathlon 1.2m is shown at $229.99 with a stated $50 savings. Treat this as a time-bound promotion and confirm the price on the product page before ordering.
  • Pre-order windows — some items, such as the NASCAR No. 45 race-winning livery, are sold only during a stated window (the page lists pre-orders closing 10/26). Pre-orders are placed on the Horizon Hobby site itself.

Because these blocks change, the specific models above may rotate out. Check the live section rather than relying on this list.

Place an order

Checkout and pre-orders happen directly on horizonhobby.com. The practical sequence is:

  1. Open the product page from a featured block or category section.
  2. Confirm availability — "Ready to Ship" and "In Stock" labels indicate immediate fulfillment; pre-order items show a closing date instead.
  3. Verify the price and any promotion on the product page, since homepage banners are summaries.
  4. Complete checkout on the site.

The source material does not state payment methods, shipping terms, or whether an account is required, so confirm those at checkout rather than assuming.

Common sticking points

  • Confusing a banner price with the final price. The $229.99 figure is a promotional headline; the product page is authoritative.
  • Missing a pre-order deadline. Limited-window items close on a fixed date, after which the listing may no longer be orderable.
  • Landing on a third-party reseller. Only horizonhobby.com is confirmed here as the official store.
  • Assuming every featured item is in stock. The homepage mixes "Ready to Ship," pre-order, and sale blocks — read the label on each.
