EnglishHow can kids join the MOCCC Woolworths Cricket Blast program?
Updated
The Marcellin Old Collegians Cricket Club (MOCCC) runs a Woolworths Cricket Blast program for girls and boys aged 5–10, and registration for the 2026/27 season is open. To join, register through the club website — the club's news announcement confirms the program and the age range, and directs families to sign up for the upcoming season.
Who the program is for
- Ages: 5–10 years old
- Who: Girls and boys
- Season: 2026/27
Woolworths Cricket Blast is Cricket Australia's entry-level program, so no prior cricket experience is expected — it's designed as a first taste of the sport for young children.
How to register
- Go to the club website at marcellinoccc.org.au.
- Find the registration announcement — the club posted "Open for registration! MOCCC Woolworths Cricket Blast for Kids" in its Latest News section.
- Follow the registration link in that announcement to complete your child's sign-up for the 2026/27 season.
The club's news item is the authoritative source for the current registration link and any program details, so check it rather than relying on second-hand information.
What to check before you sign up
- Confirm the current season details on the registration page, since dates and program logistics can change between seasons.
- Check whether the program is at capacity — popular junior programs sometimes fill up, so registering early is sensible.
- Look for any uniform or equipment requirements listed at registration. Entry-level programs typically provide equipment, but confirm this for your child's age group.
If you want to stay involved as a parent
The club also offers social memberships for non-playing supporters of the Marcellin cricket community, which is a way for parents to support the club financially for a season. Options listed on the club site include:
| Tier | Price | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Golden Eagle | $150 | Social membership, dinner and drink at all selection night dinners, MOCCC playing hat, Trivia Night ticket, Reverse Raffle ticket, email updates |
| Silver Eagle | $75 | Social membership, MOCCC playing hat, Trivia Night ticket, email updates |
| Junior Eagle | $50 | A piece of merchandise, soft drink at all home games, birthday social post |
These are separate from Cricket Blast registration — joining as a social member doesn't register your child in the junior program, and vice versa.
Where to get current details
The club's Latest News section is where registration announcements appear, including the Cricket Blast sign-up and other club updates. If the registration link isn't obvious on the homepage, check the news posts for the most recent announcement before contacting the club directly.
