How do I close my Morpher positions on Base and reclaim my MPH?
Updated
Connect a browser wallet, WalletConnect, or the Morpher Wallet at close.morpher.com to see your open positions, then close each one at its locked final price. You pay your own Base ETH gas for every transaction. Once a position is closed, the MPH tied to it becomes freely transferable, so you can move it anywhere you like.
This page exists because Morpher markets are being wound down. It is a settlement tool, not a trading interface: the goal is to exit positions at a final price and release your MPH, not to open new exposure.
Before you start
- A supported wallet. The page accepts a browser wallet, WalletConnect, or the Morpher Wallet. Use the same wallet that holds the positions you want to close.
- Base ETH for gas. Every close is a separate on-chain transaction on Base, and you cover the gas yourself. Keep a small ETH balance on Base before you begin; a wallet with positions but no ETH cannot complete the close.
- Clarity on what you hold. Decide in advance whether you are closing everything or only some positions, since each close is an individual transaction.
Step by step
- Open close.morpher.com and choose your connection method: browser wallet, WalletConnect, or Morpher Wallet.
- Connect the wallet that holds your Morpher positions. The page reads your open positions from the chain, so the list you see reflects that specific wallet.
- Review your open positions and confirm the final locked price shown for each one. This is the price your position settles at — it is fixed, not a live market quote you are negotiating.
- Close a position and approve the transaction in your wallet. Confirm you have enough Base ETH for gas before signing.
- Repeat for each remaining position. Each close is its own transaction with its own gas cost.
- Verify the result. After confirmation, the closed position should no longer appear as open, and the corresponding MPH should be freely transferable in your wallet.
What changes after closing
| Before closing | After closing |
|---|---|
| Position is open and settled at wind-down pricing | Position is closed at the locked final price |
| MPH is tied to the open position | MPH becomes freely transferable |
| You can only exit through the close flow | You can move MPH anywhere you want |
The key point: closing is what unlocks your MPH. Until a position is closed, that MPH is not something you can simply send elsewhere.
Common snags
- Nothing shows up after connecting. The positions belong to the connected wallet. If the list is empty, you are likely connected with a different wallet than the one holding the positions — switch and reconnect.
- The close transaction fails or stalls. Check your Base ETH balance first. Gas is paid per transaction, so a wallet drained by earlier closes may not cover the next one.
- You closed one position but others remain. That is expected. Closes are per-position, so work through the list one at a time.
- MPH still looks stuck. Confirm the close transaction actually confirmed on Base before assuming the MPH is transferable; a pending or reverted transaction leaves the position open.
Deciding how to proceed
If you hold a single position, connect, close it, and move the MPH wherever you want. If you hold several, budget gas for each close and decide whether to exit all of them now or leave some open — but note that the wind-down context is the reason this page exists, so leaving positions open means leaving MPH locked. If you are unsure which wallet holds your positions, connect each candidate wallet in turn and check the position list before signing anything.
