How Do Tenerife Scuba's Dive Packages and Add-On Costs Compare for Certified Divers?

Updated

For certified divers, Tenerife Scuba's multi-dive packs cut the per-dive price sharply as you buy more: a single dive is €90, but the 10-dive pack works out to €41 per dive. On top of any package you may pay €5 per dive (or €10 per day) for kit hire and a €12 supplement for each boat dive. The best value depends on how many dives you plan and whether you dive from shore or by boat.

Package Prices at a Glance

All prices below come from the operator's published price list. Every option is for certified divers; kit hire and boat supplements are charged separately.

Package Total price Price per dive
Single dive €90 €90
2-dive pack €120 €60
4-dive pack €200 €50
6-dive pack €270 €45
8-dive pack €340 €42.50
10-dive pack €410 €41

The biggest single saving comes from moving off the single-dive price: the 2-dive pack already drops the rate by a third. After that, each step up saves less. Going from 8 to 10 dives saves only €1.50 per dive, so there is little reason to buy a bigger pack than you will realistically use.

Add-On Costs and How They Stack

Two extras apply on top of the package price:

  • Kit hire: €5 per dive, or €10 per day. The day rate only beats the per-dive rate from your third dive of the day onward (3 × €5 = €15 vs €10). For one or two dives in a day, pay per dive.
  • Boat diving supplement: €12 per dive, charged on each boat dive regardless of package size.

Neither extra is included in the package prices shown, so build them into your budget before comparing packs.

Estimating Your Total

The table below shows package cost plus kit hire at the per-dive rate, for shore dives only. Add €12 per boat dive on top.

Dives Package Kit hire (€5/dive) Shore-dive total Total if all dives are by boat
1 €90 €5 €95 €107
2 €120 €10 €130 €154
4 €200 €20 €220 €268
6 €270 €30 €300 €372
8 €340 €40 €380 €476
10 €410 €50 €460 €580

If you own your kit, drop the kit-hire column entirely. If you dive several times in one day, swap the per-dive kit rate for the €10 day rate and the totals fall slightly.

Which Option Fits Which Diver

  • Trying the local sites once or twice: the single dive or 2-dive pack keeps your commitment low, and the per-dive premium is modest for a short trip.
  • A week of regular diving: the 4- or 6-dive pack is the sweet spot. You get most of the per-dive saving without paying for dives you may not use.
  • Residents or long stays: the 8- or 10-dive pack gives the lowest rate, but only if you are confident you will complete every dive.
  • Boat-focused trips: add €12 per dive to every estimate. Over 10 boat dives that is €120 in supplements alone, which can outweigh the savings between neighbouring pack sizes.

Practical Notes Before Booking

The dive centre is based in Las Galletas, between Tenerife South Airport and the Los Cristianos/Las Américas resorts, and has operated since 2002. It welcomes divers certified by any training agency, so you do not need a PADI card to use these packages. The published price list does not state whether packages expire or whether unused dives are refundable, so confirm both points with the team before paying for a larger pack.
