How the Summon Simulator on the Fate/Grand Order Wiki Works
Updated
The Summon Simulator on grandorder.gamepress.gg is a browser-based tool that lets you pull on FGO banners without spending Saint Quartz. It exists in two separate versions — one for the NA server and one for JP — and each is updated as new pickup banners go live. You use it to preview banner contents, see how a summon session feels, and check what a banner actually offers before committing real currency. It is a simulation, not a game client: nothing you pull there carries over to your account.
What the simulator covers
The site's navigation lists the tool as two distinct entries:
- Summon Simulator (NA) — mirrors banners on the North American server.
- Summon Simulator (JP) — mirrors banners on the Japanese server, which runs ahead of NA.
Because the two servers are on different schedules, the JP simulator will generally show banners that have not yet reached NA. If you play NA and want to avoid spoilers or future-banner information, stick to the NA version.
What you can simulate
The update log on the site shows the simulator being extended banner by banner rather than covering everything at once. Recent additions include:
| Date (as listed) | Simulator update |
|---|---|
| Sep 30 | LB5 Clear Support Pickup (Daily) added |
| Sep 24 | Faerie Sugoroku Kazuradrop Pickup added |
| Sep 22 | JP: Halloween 2028 Pickup 4 Summon (Daily) added |
| Sep 21 | JP: Kyomaf 2028 Pickup Summon (Daily) and Halloween 2028 Pickup 3 added |
| Sep 16 | JP: Halloween 2028 Deadalus Pickup Summon and Pickup 2 (Daily) added |
| Sep 2 | 25M DL Oberon Pickup and 25M DL Pickup (Daily) added |
Two things follow from this pattern. First, the simulator supports both single pickup banners and daily-rotation ("Daily") pickup summons. Second, coverage is not automatic — a banner appears only after the site adds it, so a very new banner may lag behind the live game.
How to use it
- Open the Summon Simulator for your server (NA or JP) from the site menu.
- Select the banner you want to test from the available list.
- Run the summon. The tool returns results as if you had pulled in-game.
- Repeat as many times as you like — there is no cost and no limit described on the site.
The practical value is in step 4. Because you can rerun a banner freely, you can see the spread of outcomes rather than a single lucky or unlucky pull. That is useful for judging how a banner's featured Servant or Craft Essence distribution actually behaves.
What it is not
The simulator does not connect to your FGO account. Results do not transfer, do not consume your Quartz, and do not affect your real pity or summon history. It also does not tell you what you "should" pull — it only shows outcomes. Treat it as a sandbox for understanding banner contents and pull behavior, not as a prediction of your next real summon.
When it is worth using
- Before spending on a banner — to confirm which Servants and Craft Essences are actually on rate-up.
- For future-banner planning on NA — the JP simulator shows what is coming, subject to the site having added it.
- To gauge variance — repeated simulated pulls give a feel for how often the featured unit appears, which is hard to judge from a single real session.
If you only want a quick look at what a banner contains, the site's separate Banner List and Servant pages may be faster. The simulator earns its place when you want to run the pull itself, repeatedly, at no cost.
