How to Access and Run PyFunceble
Updated
PyFunceble is a tool for checking the availability or syntax of domains, IP addresses, or URLs, and its web entry point is pyfunceble.github.io. To use that page, you must enable JavaScript in your browser — the site is a JavaScript-based web app, not a static documentation page. Before you start, have your list of domains, IPs, or URLs ready to check.
What PyFunceble Checks
PyFunceble works on three kinds of input:
- Domains — e.g.
example.com - IP addresses — e.g.
192.0.2.1 - URLs — e.g.
https://example.com/path
For each entry it can evaluate two different things: whether the target is available (reachable/registered) and whether its syntax is valid. These are separate checks — a string can be syntactically well-formed but unavailable, or vice versa.
Accessing the Web App
- Open a browser and go to
pyfunceble.github.io. - Make sure JavaScript is enabled. If it is disabled, the page will not load its interface — you will only see a notice that JavaScript is required.
- Once the app loads, you are working inside a browser-based application rather than reading a documentation site.
Because the page depends on JavaScript, common blockers include:
- Browser extensions that block scripts
- Corporate or school policies that disable JavaScript
- Very old browsers without modern JavaScript support
If the page appears blank or shows a JavaScript notice, check these first.
Preparing Your Input
Have your targets ready before you start:
- One domain, IP, or URL per line
- Plain text is the simplest format to paste or upload
- Keep the list clean (no stray spaces or duplicate entries) so results are easy to read
Running a Check
- Load the app at
pyfunceble.github.io. - Provide your list of domains, IPs, or URLs.
- Choose whether you want an availability check, a syntax check, or both.
- Start the check and review the results for each entry.
The exact controls depend on the version of the app that loads in your browser, so treat the steps above as the general flow rather than fixed menu names.
Quick Reference
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Where do I access it? | pyfunceble.github.io |
| Does it need JavaScript? | Yes — the app requires JavaScript to run |
| What can I check? | Domains, IP addresses, URLs |
| What checks are available? | Availability and syntax |
| What should I prepare? | A list of targets, one per line |
Common Issues
- Blank page or JavaScript warning — enable JavaScript or allow scripts for the site.
- Nothing happens after entering targets — confirm your input is one entry per line and that you selected a check type.
- Unexpected syntax results — verify the entry itself; malformed strings will fail syntax checks by design.
