How to Browse Regton Ltd's Metal Detecting Equipment and Accessories

Updated

Regton Ltd is a family-run metal detector specialist with over 40 years in the business, and its site is organised around the equipment you need for the hobby: detectors, coils, bags, trowels, and headphones. To browse it, start from the homepage carousel of top products, then move into the category that matches what you are looking for. The homepage also surfaces new arrivals and a promotional offer, and a cart/checkout page is available once you have selected items.

What Regton Ltd sells

The product range described on the site covers the core kit for metal detecting:

  • Metal detectors — the main equipment category
  • Coils — search coils for detectors
  • Bags — carry and storage bags
  • Trowels — digging tools
  • Headphones — audio equipment for detecting

These are the categories to look for when you want to move from browsing to finding a specific item.

Using the homepage carousel

The homepage features a carousel of Regton's Top Products in September. It is built to be navigable by keyboard as well as by mouse:

  • Use the tab key to move through the elements of the carousel.
  • Skip links let you jump past the carousel or go straight to the carousel navigation, so you do not have to tab through every item.
  • The carousel uses left and right chevron controls to move between products.

If you are browsing with a keyboard, the skip links are the quickest way to get past the carousel and on to the rest of the page.

Finding new arrivals and current offers

Two things on the homepage point to what is current:

  • New Arrivals — a section for recently added stock.
  • A promotional message — the homepage displays "£30 off your order?" as an offer prompt.

Note that at least one item in the top-products carousel is marked Out Of Stock, so availability varies by product and is worth checking on the individual item before you commit.

Reaching the cart and checkout

Once you have added items, the cart/checkout entry point is at:

https://regton.com/checkout/cart/

Use it to review the items you have selected before completing an order.

A practical browsing order

If you are new to the site, this sequence keeps you from getting lost:

  1. Scan the Top Products carousel for a quick view of what Regton is highlighting.
  2. Check New Arrivals if you want the most recently listed stock.
  3. Move into the category you actually need — detectors, coils, bags, trowels, or headphones.
  4. Confirm stock status on the item page, since some carousel items show as out of stock.
  5. Review everything in the cart at /checkout/cart/ before ordering.

If you are still deciding which detector suits you rather than how to navigate the site, the more useful question is what to consider when choosing a metal detector from Regton Ltd — the browsing steps above assume you already know which category you want.
