EnglishHow to Buy Pet Jumping Spiders and Other Live Bugs from Bugs In Cyberspace
Updated
You can buy live pet jumping spiders and other invertebrates directly through Bugs In Cyberspace by browsing its product categories and using the cart or availability-notification options on each listing. The site sells live pet insects, arachnids, millipedes, centipedes, and scorpions to hobbyists, zoos, museums, universities, and classrooms, and it has operated as an online informational resource since 1997. Before any live purchase, read the Terms of Service page — buying through the site means you agree to those terms.
Where to find jumping spiders and other live bugs
The site organizes live pet bugs into product categories, including a dedicated Buy Pet Jumping Spiders category. From a category page you can open individual species listings, which show the current price and either an Add to cart button (in stock) or a Read more / Email me when available option (out of stock).
The Featured Products section on the homepage is the fastest way to see what's currently highlighted. Examples from the site:
| Product | Price | Status shown |
|---|---|---|
| Captive Bred Vinegaroon | $19.99 | Add to cart (rated 5.00 out of 5) |
| Cloud Jumper Paraphidippus fartilis Spiderling | $50.00 | Read more / Email me when available |
| Phrynus maesi | $30.00 | Read more / Email me when available |
How to complete a purchase
- Open the relevant category (for example, Buy Pet Jumping Spiders) or a Featured Products listing.
- Check the price and stock status on the product page.
- If it's in stock, select Add to cart and proceed through checkout.
- If it's out of stock, use Email me when available to be notified when it returns — this is how you handle listings that only show "Read more."
- Before paying, confirm you meet the shipping conditions below and have read the Terms of Service.
Shipping and live delivery conditions
The site advertises Live Delivery Guaranteed, but the guarantee is tied to temperature. Per the site's 09/30 announcement, the 2-day shipping method with the live guarantee has been reinstated now that weather has cooled, and your weather must be between 33 and 83 degrees to select this cheaper shipping option. Ice packs are included on all shipments as needed at no extra cost.
Stock notes worth checking before you order
The same announcement reports that millipedes have been restocked, and that jumping spider and desert beetle inventory "continue to be strong." Inventory changes, so verify current status on the product page rather than relying on older descriptions. The site also posts weekly videos on its YouTube channel and shares field-trip content, which can help you see species in context before buying.
