How to Check the School Calendar and Upcoming Events at Po On Commercial Association Wong Siu Ching Secondary School

The official school website, pocawsc.edu.hk, provides two separate tools for this: a School Calendar you browse by date, and an Upcoming Events list that shows what is coming next with dates and descriptions. Use the calendar when you want to see everything scheduled in a given month; use the events list when you only need the next few activities.

Using the School Calendar

The calendar on the site is interactive rather than a static PDF.

1. Open the School Calendar section from the website.
2. The current month is displayed as a grid with days of the week across the top (Sun–Sat).
3. Click on a date to select it.
4. The selected date appears above the grid, and any events for that day are shown below it.

If a date has nothing scheduled, selecting it simply returns no events — the calendar does not mark empty days differently in the information available, so an empty result means there is nothing listed for that day.

Checking Upcoming Events

Below the calendar, the site lists Upcoming Events with the date, a category label, and the event name. Examples of what appears there include:

This list is the faster option if you are planning around a specific upcoming activity, since you do not need to click through individual dates. Categories such as "School Event" and "Student Awards" tell you whether an entry is a general school activity or a student recognition ceremony.

Where Announcements Fit In

The calendar and events list cover scheduling. For news and formal announcements, the same site has a Highlight News section, which carries dated items such as the Full Report of the EDB External School Review (18 Sep 2026), the latest issue of Ringing Ten (10 Sep 2026), and the 2026 JUPAS (Main Round) and HKDSE Results (18 Aug 2026). If you are looking for a result, a report, or a publication rather than an event, check Highlight News instead of the calendar.

Practical Notes

• The calendar and event listings are maintained by the school, so dates can be added or changed; re-check close to the date if you are relying on an entry.
• Event names and categories appear in a mix of English and Chinese, so search or scan for both if you are looking for a specific activity.
• The site also links to related sections — Student Achievement, Scholarships, and Admission — from the same page area, which is useful if an event you find is tied to one of those areas.
