How to Choose Canvas Art from GalleryToday for Your Home or Office

Updated

GalleryToday sells Giclée canvas art prints, with free shipping to the USA and Canada on every order regardless of amount. Prices shown on the site start at $90.72 and go up from there, and you can check out with Stripe. If you want a straightforward way to pick a piece that fits a specific wall and room style, the sections below walk through the decisions in the order most buyers make them.

Start with the room, then the category

The site organizes art into these categories: New releases, Landscape, Floral, Portrait, Abstract, Modern, and Decorative. Matching the category to the room's existing feel is faster than browsing everything.

Room Category that tends to fit Why
Living room Abstract, Modern, Landscape Large walls and neutral furniture suit bold or wide compositions
Bedroom Floral, Soft Abstract Quieter palettes work better in low-light, rest-oriented spaces
Home office Modern, Abstract, Portrait Strong graphic pieces hold attention without competing with screens
Hallway or entry Decorative, Floral Smaller, self-contained images read well at close range
Dining area Floral, Landscape Still-life and scenery themes match the setting

If you are unsure, start with New releases — it is the fastest way to see what the site currently leads with, and you can filter your taste from there.

Decide on size before you fall in love with an image

GalleryToday explicitly promotes oversized canvas art for spaces like living rooms, so size is a real decision point rather than an afterthought. A few practical rules:

  • Measure the wall first. Note the width of the furniture the art will sit above (sofa, console, bed) and aim for the piece to span roughly two-thirds of that width.
  • Check viewing distance. A large abstract reads well from across a room; a detailed floral or portrait is better at closer range.
  • Consider the room's height. Oversized pieces work on tall walls but can overwhelm a low-ceilinged room.

The site lists each work with its own size options, so confirm the dimensions on the product page rather than assuming a standard size.

Understand what you are paying for

Every piece on the site is described as Giclée fine art, printed with professional-grade ink on authentic cotton canvas — not a standard poster print. That distinction matters for longevity and color depth, and it is the main reason prices sit where they do.

Price signals from the site:

  • Featured works are listed from $123.60 (for example, Woman in Blue Floral Dress, Soft Abstract Composition, Cubist Abstract Faces, Abstract Face in Red and Black, Girl in Blue Flowers, Abstract White City).
  • Other featured works are listed from $90.72 (for example, Pensive Beauty, Mother and Child, Moonlight Comfort, Abstract Navy and Beige, and several floral still lifes).
  • The "from" wording means the final price depends on the size you select, so the lower figure reflects the smallest option.

Walk through the buying flow

  1. Browse or filter by category (New releases, Landscape, Floral, Portrait, Abstract, Modern, Decorative).
  2. Open a product page and use Enlarge to inspect the image closely before committing.
  3. Select your size — this is what sets the final price.
  4. Add to Wishlist if you are comparing several pieces, or Add to cart to buy now.
  5. Checkout — the cart shows a running total, and payment is handled through Stripe.
  6. Confirm shipping — free to the USA and Canada on every order, no minimum.

Common sticking points

  • "From" pricing can mislead. The headline price is the smallest size. Budget for the size you actually want.
  • Wishlist is not a hold. Adding to the wishlist does not reserve the piece or lock in a price.
  • Free shipping has a stated region. The site advertises free shipping to the USA and Canada; if you are ordering elsewhere, verify the shipping terms before checkout.
  • Color on screen vs. on canvas. Giclée on cotton canvas has a different surface texture than a screen; if color accuracy is critical, review the enlarged image carefully.

Quick decision path

  • Filling a large living-room wall: browse Abstract, Modern, or Landscape, choose an oversized size, expect pricing above the $90.72 entry point.
  • Small accent piece for a bedroom or hallway: browse Floral or Decorative at the smallest size, near the $90.72 starting price.
  • Still deciding between several: add them all to the Wishlist, then compare side by side before adding one to the cart.

Once you know your wall width, your room's style category, and the size you need, the rest of the process — cart, Stripe checkout, free US/Canada shipping — is mechanical.
