How to Contact Bangalore Chess Academy

Call or WhatsApp +91-988.029.7796 to reach Bangalore Chess Academy. The same number handles admissions enquiries, personal training bookings, and general questions. You can also visit in person during normal business hours — the academy welcomes walk-ins for a look around and a chat. Admissions are currently open for both Beginners and Advanced Sessions at the Arekere Center.

Contact methods at a glance

The academy's own guidance is to "feel free to call and visit during normal business hours" and to message on WhatsApp — so both channels are actively monitored.

Class timings

If you're calling to ask about schedules, here's what's published for the Arekere Center:

• Weekdays: 5 to 6 pm
• Weekends: 4 to 5 pm and 5 to 6 pm

These are the advertised session windows. If you need a different slot — for example, a weekday morning or a time that fits a school pick-up — call and ask, since the academy also runs online and personal training formats that may be more flexible.

What you can ask about when you call

Bangalore Chess Academy has operated since 2005 and has trained more than 10,000 students across its Bangalore locations. When you get in touch, you can raise:

• Beginner or Advanced Sessions at the Arekere Center (admissions are open for both)
• Classroom training at academy locations
• Online training, if you can't attend in person
• Personal training with FIDE Master and FIDE Trainer Vedant Goswami
• Chess in Schools programmes
• Franchise opportunities, if you're enquiring on behalf of a school or business

The chief trainer and course director is FIDE Master Vedant Goswami, who has over 25 years of playing and training experience, a peak FIDE rating of 2317, and has represented India at Asian and Commonwealth chess championships. He was also appointed by FIDE to train the Olympiad teams of South Sudan and Djibouti for the 2022 Chess Olympiad in Chennai.

Booking personal training

Personal training with Vedant Goswami is a separate track from the group sessions, and the academy notes that slots are limited. There is also a specific note about limited slots in the US Time (PST) zone, which suggests online personal sessions are arranged across time zones.

To set this up, the academy's instruction is to WhatsApp or call 9880297796 so the training can be customised to your needs. Have your preferred days, time zone, and current playing level ready before you message — that's the information needed to match you to an available slot.

Before you visit

A few practical points to sort out first:

1. Call ahead if you're travelling far. The published hours cover session times, but staff availability for a tour may differ. A quick call confirms someone can meet you.
2. Ask which centre. The admissions notice specifically names the Arekere Center, while the academy describes "locations in Bangalore" in the plural. Confirm the address for the batch you want.
3. Check the batch level. Beginners and Advanced are separate sessions — make sure the timing you're given matches your level.
4. Use WhatsApp for anything detailed. Customising training, sharing your child's experience level, or asking about online options is easier in writing than over a call.

Getting a sense of the academy first

If you'd rather look before you call, the academy's YouTube channel at @BangaloreChessAcademy is the lowest-commitment way to see what the coaching looks like. It's useful if you're deciding between formats — for example, whether your child would do better in a group classroom session or one-to-one online training.

For anything specific to your situation, the phone and WhatsApp line remains the direct route: +91-988.029.7796.
