How to Contact the Arizona Federation of Weavers and Spinners Guilds

Updated

The Arizona Federation of Weavers and Spinners Guilds (AZFed) can be reached by email at [email protected]. That address is listed on the federation's website, azfed.org, as the contact point for the organization. The site also provides several informational pages—About, General Information & Meeting Minutes, Officers, Federation Representatives, and Mission—that answer most questions about the federation's structure and activities before you need to write in.

What You Can Find on the Website First

Before emailing, check whether the site already answers your question. The main sections are:

  • About – background on the federation
  • General Information & Meeting Minutes – organizational details and records of meetings
  • Officers – current officers
  • Federation Representatives – representatives for the member guilds
  • Mission – the federation's stated purpose
  • Member Guilds – the full list of participating guilds, organized by region
  • Resources – including a Fiber Arts Teacher Registry, Guild & Individual Grant Applications, a Traveling Teacher Program, and Special Event Planning Guides
  • Events – including the Arizona Fiber Arts Festival
  • Contact Us – the contact page where the email address appears

Member Guilds by Region

If your question is really about a local group rather than the federation itself, the Member Guilds page lists guilds by area:

Northern Arizona

  • Fiber Artists of Northern AZ (Flagstaff)
  • Mountain Spinners and Weavers Guild (Greater Prescott)
  • Twisted Threads (Greater White Mountains)
  • Verde Valley Spinners and Weavers Guild (Sedona)

Central Arizona

  • Arizona Desert Weavers and Spinners Guild (Greater Phoenix)
  • Basket Artisans of Arizona (Greater Phoenix)
  • Sun City Artistic Weavers and Fiber Artists (Sun City)
  • Telarana Fiber Arts Guild (Eastern Maricopa County)
  • Weavers West Guild (Sun City West)

Southern Arizona

  • Tucson Handweavers & Spinners Guild (Tucson)
  • Valley Fiber Art Guild (Sahuarita)

Who Membership Applies To

Membership in the federation applies to any person who is a member of a participating guild in Arizona. As a member, you can post fiber-related business on the federation's Forum listserv, which reaches members across the state. If you are not yet in a guild, contact a regional guild first, or email [email protected] to ask about the path to membership.

A Practical Note

The site's copyright line reads 2026, and the content is maintained by an outside design firm. If a page looks out of date—particularly officer names or meeting minutes—confirm current details by email rather than relying on the listing alone.
