How to Create an Article or Biography on EverybodyWiki
Updated
You can create an article, biography, or company page on EverybodyWiki by registering an account, confirming your email, and then using one of the site's dedicated creation links. The key requirement is email confirmation — according to the site's own news note dated 2025-06-16, you must confirm your email before you can edit pages. EverybodyWiki describes itself as an inclusionist encyclopedia where an article "does not need any requirements like to meet any standards of notability, arbitrary requirements, or be famous to be preserved," so the barrier to publishing is low compared with Wikipedia.
Before you start
- An account is required to edit. The main page states you can edit almost every page by creating an account and confirming your email.
- Email confirmation is mandatory. After registering, go to Special:Preferences and send the confirmation request, then click the link in the email you receive.
- No notability threshold. Unlike Wikipedia, EverybodyWiki does not require your subject to meet notability standards, which is the main reason people use it for personal biographies and company pages.
Step-by-step: creating your page
- Create an account. Use the "Create account" link in the site header. You will be asked for a username, password, and email address.
- Confirm your email. Go to Special:Preferences and send the confirmation request. Click the link in the confirmation email. Until this is done, editing is blocked.
- Log in. If you already have an account, use "Log In" instead.
- Choose your entry point. The site provides three dedicated creation links:
- Create a new article — for general topics such as a video game, film, or event.
- Create a biography — for a person-focused page.
- Create a company page — for an organization or business.
- Write and save. EverybodyWiki uses VisualEditor, the same editing interface as Wikipedia, and is optimized for mobile viewing. Enter your title, add your content, and save the page.
What you get and what to expect
| Aspect | EverybodyWiki |
|---|---|
| Notability requirement | None stated — articles marked for deletion on Wikipedia are explicitly welcomed |

Common sticking points
- You cannot edit before confirming your email. This is the most frequent blocker; the confirmation link is sent from Special:Preferences, not automatically at signup.
- Sponsored articles are listed as "coming soon," so there is currently no described paid placement option on the page.
- Rules and tutorials exist. Check the Rules and Tutorials links before publishing if you want to match site conventions, especially for formatting and categories.
Is this the right place for your page?
Choose EverybodyWiki if your subject would likely be rejected on Wikipedia for not meeting notability guidelines, or if you want a biography or company page without a deletion review process. If you need your content to carry Wikipedia's authority or appear in search results under Wikipedia's domain, this site will not provide that — it is a separate, inclusionist wiki with its own domain and community.
