How to Filter Bunny Fonts by Language or Script
Updated
Open the Bunny Fonts library at fonts.bunny.net and use the Language (subset) filter to narrow the catalog to fonts that support the script you need — Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (Simplified, Hong Kong, Traditional), Cyrillic, Cyrillic Extended, Devanagari, Greek, Greek Extended, Gujarati, Gurmukhi, Hebrew, Japanese, Kannada, Khmer, Korean, Latin, Latin Extended, Malayalam, Myanmar, Oriya, Sinhala, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Tibetan, or Vietnamese. Combine it with the Category, number-of-styles, and sort controls, then check the preview before you commit.
Where the filters live
The Bunny Fonts homepage is a browsable font directory. Above the font list you'll find:
- Filters — the main control panel for narrowing results
- Search — a text field for font names
- Sort By — Ascending / Descending ordering
- Filters Open / Filters toggle — expands or collapses the filter panel
The filter panel itself contains:
| Filter | Options |
|---|---|
| # of Styles (all) | Narrow by how many weights/styles a family offers |
| Category | All, Serif, Sans-Serif, Display, Handwriting, Monospace |
| Language (subset) | Any Language plus the full script list above |
Step-by-step: filtering by language or script
- Go to fonts.bunny.net.
- Open the Filters panel if it isn't already expanded.
- Set Language (subset) to your target script — for example, Japanese or Cyrillic.
- Optionally set Category (e.g. Sans-Serif) and # of Styles to trim the list further.
- Use Sort By to order the remaining families ascending or descending.
- Read the result count shown next to the sort control — it tells you how many families match. A count of 0 families means your combination is too narrow; loosen one filter.
- Click a family to open its sample and confirm the glyphs you need actually render.
Verifying a font before you use it
The preview area is where you confirm a candidate is right:
- Sample Text — type or paste your own string, including the exact characters your site will display.
- Font Size — set the preview size (the default shown is 30 px) to judge legibility at your real reading size.
- SYMBOLS / SENTENCES / ALPHABETS — switch between preset preview strings: digits and punctuation, the pangram "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog", or the full A–Z / Z–A alphabet.
If a script you selected doesn't appear correctly in the sample, the family likely doesn't cover those glyphs — pick another.
Common pitfalls
- "Any Language" is the default. If you see unexpected scripts in results, you haven't applied the language filter yet.
- Zero results usually means over-filtering. Language + Category + style count can intersect to nothing. Drop the least important filter first.
- Subset ≠ full coverage. A font tagged for a script may cover only part of it. Always test with your real content, not just the preset pangram.
- Latin Extended is separate from Latin. If you need accented or extended Latin characters, select Latin Extended rather than Latin.
Getting the font onto your site
Once you've chosen a family, Bunny Fonts exposes a CSS endpoint. The page shows both a CSS link and an @import form:
@import url(https://fonts.bunny.net/css);
Use the link tag if you prefer loading in HTML, or the @import line inside a stylesheet. The site also offers a Switch to HTML option for the corresponding markup.
